PRAYERS.
The Lord Chancellor reported, "That the House did, on Saturday last, present to Her Majesty their humble Address; and that Her Majesty was pleased to return the following most Gracious Answer; (videlicet,)
Queen's Answer to the Address.
"My Lords,
"I do most heartily thank you for this Address: And be assured, that I take a particular Satisfaction, that you so kindly express the Confidence you have in Me."
Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Address of this House, presented to Her Majesty on Saturday last, and Her Majesty's most Gracious Answer thereunto, be forthwith printed and published.
Prohibited East India Goods, and Naval Stores from Russia, Accounts of delivered.
The House being informed, "That some of the Commissioners of the Customs attended;" they were called in, and delivered, at the Bar, (pursuant to late Acts of Parliament) several Papers; the Titles whereof were read, as follows:
"Report of the Commissioners of the Customs, to the Right Honourable the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled.
"1. An Account of the prohibited East India Goods, remaining in the several Warehouses in the Port of London, at Michaelmas 1711; with what has been brought in since that Time; what exported, and what remains at Michaelmas 1712.
"2. An Account of the prohibited East India Goods remaining in the respective Warehouses of the Out Ports at Michaelmas 1711; what brought in since that Time, and what exported; as also what remains at Michaelmas 1712.
"3. An Account of the Naval Stores imported from Russia into the Port of London, from Michaelmas 1711, to Michaelmas 1712.
"4. An Account of Naval Stores imported from Russia into the Ports, commonly called the Out Ports, from Michaelmas 1711, to Michaelmas 1712."
Ordered, That the said Papers do lie on the Table, to be perused by the Lords.
Carstairs versus Dick.
Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of John Carstairs, of Kilconquher, Esquire, complaining of several interlocutory Sentences, pronounced by the Lords of Council and Session in Scotland, upon the Fifteenth of February 1710 / 11, the Fourth of July One Thousand Seven Hundred and Twelve, the Ninth of that Month, and the Affirmation thereof the Thirtieth of the same July, on the Behalf of Thomas Dick, Merchant in Edinburgh; and praying, "That the said Sentences may be reversed; and that the said Thomas Dick may answer the said Appeal:"
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Thomas Dick may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and is hereby required to put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on or before Monday the Eleventh Day of May next, at Eleven a Clock.
Adjourn.
