Craven's Petition referred to Judges.

Upon reading the Petition of the Honourable Fulwer and Robert Craven, Infants, (by John Craven Esquire, their Uncle and next Friend,) Younger Sons of the Right Honourable William late Lord Craven; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, to charge Part of their said Brother's Estate, with the raising suitable Provision for them, according to their Father's Intention:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to Mr. Justice Powis and Mr. Justice Blencowe; who are forthwith to summon all Parties concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.

Byde's Petition referred to Judges.

Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Byde, of Ware Park, in the County of Hertford, Esquire, and Jane his Wife, Dame Susanna Byde Widow, and Relict of Sir Thomas Byde, late of Ware Park aforesaid, Knight, deceased, and John Byde, of Lincoln's Inn, in the County of Midd'x, Esquire, Eldest Son of Ralph Skinner Byde Esquire, deceased, who was the Younger Son of the said Sir Thomas Byde; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, to amend a Defect in an Act of Parliament mentioned in the said Petition; and to enable the Petitioner Thomas Byde, by Mortgage or otherwise, to raise the Residue of his Sister's Portion, and reimbursing him the Monies which he has laid out, as in the Petition is set forth:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to Mr. Justice Powell and Mr. Baron Bury; who are forthwith to summon all Parties concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.

Sir Thomas Lawley's Petition referred to Judges.

Upon reading the Petition of Sir Thomas Lawley Baronet; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, to vest the Premises in the Petition mentioned, in the Counties of Essex and Lincoln, in Trustees, to be sold, for the Payment of Four Thousand Pounds and Interest, and Two Thousand Pounds; and to vest the Residue of the Purchase-money in the Purchase of other Lands, to be settled to the same Uses as the Essex Estate now stands limited:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to Mr. Baron Price and Mr. Justice Dormer; who are forthwith to summon all Parties concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.

Charlton Parsonage House, Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the Exchange of the Parsonage-house at Charlton, in Kent, and Close thereto adjoining, in Lieu of another House and Lands there."

Booth's Petition referred to Judges.

Upon reading the Petition of William Booth Gentle man and Elizabeth his Wife, and Anthony Booth Gentleman, Brother of the said William; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, to enable the Petitioner to sell a small Part of his Lands and Hereditaments, in the County Palatine of Chester, for Payment of the Debts of his Brother, with whom, and for which, he stands bound; and for applying the Surplus of the Money raised, if any, towards Payment of his own proper Debts:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to the Lord Chief Baron of Her Majesty's Court of Exchequer and Mr. Justice Powys; who are forthwith to summon all Parties concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.

Account of Cruizers and Convoys.

The House being informed, "That Mr. Fawler, from the Commissioners of the Admiralty, attended;" he was called in, and delivered, at the Bar, "An Account of the Ships which have been employed as Cruizers and Convoys in the Year 1712, over and above the Ships of War for the Line of Battle, and for Convoys to remote Parts, prepared in Pursuance of an Act of Parliament, intituled, An Act for the better securing the Trade of this Kingdom, by Cruizers and Convoys."

And withdrew.

Then, the Title thereof being read;

Ordered, That the said Account do lie on the Table, for the Perusal of the Lords.

E. Coventry's Petition referred to Judges.

Upon reading the Petition of Gilbert Earl of Coventry; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for the raising of Maintenance-money, as also Five Thousand Pounds Portion, out of the Premises charged therewith by the Marriage Settlement, dated the 13th of November 1694; and that the same may be paid to the Petitioner's Daughter at her Marriage, though the same should be before her Age of Eighteen Years:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to Mr. Baron Lovell and Mr. Justice Eyre; who are forthwith to summon all Parties concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.

Mayor, &c. of Hertford versus Poor of Hertford.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of the Mayor, Aldermen, and Commonalty, of the Borough of Hertford, from a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, by the late Lord Chancellor Cowper, wherein the Petitioners were Exceptants, against Edward Hurst and John Elder, in Behalf of themselves and the rest of the Poor of the same Parish, Respondents, (which Decree was made in November 1709;) and from the Master's Report made in Pursuance thereof, dated the 10th Day of July 1710; and praying the said Decree may be so far reversed and rectified, as that the Meadow called King's Mead may for ever hereafter be deemed to be the Petitioners' own proper Estate:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Edward Hurst and John Elder, and the rest of the Poor of the same Borough, may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and are hereby required to put in their Answer or respective Answers thereunto, in Writing, on or before Thursday the Thirtieth Day of this Instant April, at Eleven a Clock.

Archbold versus Toole.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of James Archbold Gentleman, against certain Decrees, or Orders, made by the Court of Exchequer in Ireland, in a certain Cause, wherein Peter Toole Gentleman was Plaintiff, and the Petitioner Defendant, the One made the Seventh of December One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eleven, and the other the Twelfth of February One Thousand Seven Hundred and Twelve; praying, "That the said Decrees or Orders may be reversed; and that the said Peter Toole may answer the said Appeal; and that the Service of the Order of this House upon the Attorney in the Court of Exchequer may be deemed good Service, in order thereunto:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Peter Toole may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and he is hereby required to put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on or before Thursday the Fourteenth Day of May next, at Eleven a Clock.

Dunlop to enter into Recognizance for L. Ormstoun.

Upon reading the Petition of Adam Cokburne Lord Ormstoun and Dame Anne his Wife; shewing, "That they have lodged their Appeal in this House against John Hamilton; and praying (by reason of their Absence) that William Dunloppe Gentleman, their Agent, may enter into a Recognizance for them as is usual:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said William Dunlope may enter into a Recognizance, as desired.
