Prayers.

Ancolne River.

ORDERED, That it be referred to the Committee appointed to consider of the Act for Uniformity with other Acts, to peruse the Act for Confirmation of certain Degrees of Sewers, made by the Commissioners for the Limits of the Level of the River of Ancolne in the County of Lincolne; and to consider of the Defect alledged to be in the Proviso therein contained, concerning the Towns of Winterton, and Bishops Norton; and to make Report thereof to the House.

Privilege.

Upon Information, That Dr. August had served the Tenants of Mr. Rigby, a Member of this House, with Declarations to try the Title of certain Lands in the Possession of Mr. Rigby, and intended to proceed to Trial therein, next Assizes;

Ordered, That the said Dr. August, his Counsel, Attorney, and Solicitor, be enjoined to stay all further Proceedings in the Action brought against the said Mr. Rigby, during the Session of this present Parliament.

Lessees for Lives.

A Bill to make the Lessee prove his Lives in being, was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time on Thursday next.

Sea Breaches in Norfolke.

A Bill for preventing Sea Breaches, and draining certain Fen Grounds, in the County of Norfolke, was this Day read the Second time.

The Question being put, That the Bill be committed;

It passed in the Negative.

The Question being put, That the Bill be ingrossed;

It passed in the Negative.

Owse Navigation.

A Bill for making navigable the River of Owse, in the County of Bedford, was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time, on Friday next.

Triennial Parliaments.

Ordered, That the Bill to repeal the Act for a Triennial Parliament be brought in, and read To-morrow Morning.

Martial Law.

A Bill to enlarge the Power of the Law Martial in his Majesty's Fleet, was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time on Friday next.

Bedford Level.

Ordered, That the Bill concerning the Great Level of the Fens, called Bedford Level, be read on Monday next.

Sumptuary Laws, &c.

Ordered, That these Persons following be added to the Committee appointed to prepare Sumptuary Laws, and prevent encroaching upon Trade, by the Jews, French, and other Foreigners; viz. Sir Geo. Downing, Mr. Coventry, Colonel Robinson, Sir John Shaw, Sir Edw. Moseley, Sir Courtney Poole, Mr. Low, Mr. Harbord, Mr. Waller, Mr. Vaughan, Sir Tho. Littleton, Mr. Vice Chamberlain, Sir John Holland, Colonel Strangwayes, Sir Fra. Goodrick, Mr. Daniell, Mr. Scawen, Colonel Reames, Mr. Crouch, Sir Chichester Wray: And all the Members of this House, that come to the Committee, are to have Voices; And they are also impowered to receive Proposals, and consider of such Expedients, as may be effectual for the Regaining and Advance of Trade; and to prepare a Bill or Bills for that Purpose.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
