A BILL for settling and confirming certain Lands and Grounds drained and purchased by Sir Cornelius Vermuyden, and his Participants, lying in the Counties of Yorke, Lincolne, and Nottingham, to and upon the Drainers and Purchasers thereof, their Heirs and Assigns, was this Day read the Second time.

Calamy's Case.
Sir Thomas Meres reports from the Committee to whom the Case concerning the Commitment of Mr. Calamy, upon the Act of Uniformity, was referred, That the Committee had carefully perused the Act; and also the Certificate of the Lord Bishop of London to the Lord Mayor of London; and the Warrant of the Lord Mayor thereupon by which Mr. Calamy was committed; and also the Warrants by which he was released: And that, upon strict Examination of the whole Matter of Fact concerning the late Commitment of Mr. Edmund Calamy, by the Right honourable the Lord Mayor of the City of London; and upon mature Consideration of the late Act for Uniformity, &c. upon the Points relating to the said Commitment;
It was Resolved, That the Committee did find, that Mr. Edmund Calamy was not released for any Defect in the Act of Uniformity, &c.: And that the Committee did not find any Defect in the said Act.
Resolved, &c. Nemine contradicente, That this House doth agree in Opinion with the said Committee, That Mr. Calamy was not released for any Defect in the Act of Uniformity: And that they do not find any Defect in the said Act, upon the Points relating to the said Commitment.
Preserving Woods, &c.
A Bill for the Punishing of unlawful Cutters and Spoilers of Wood and Underwoods, and Destroyers of young Timber Trees, was this Day read the Second time.
