THIS Day, Sir Francis Stewart, Knight, James Maxwell, William Carr, and James Levingston, Esquires, and Phillip Jacobson, of London, Merchant (who have exhibited their Bills this Parliament to be Naturalized), took the Oaths of Supremacy and Allegiance, according to the Statute, Anno 7° Jacobi Regis.

Mr. Attorney General and Mr. Serjeant Crooke returned Answer, That they did Yesterday deliver unto the Commons the Two Bills sent by them, with the Intimation enjoined them by their Lordships.

Lord Chamberlain's Leave to be absent.

The Lord Treasurer made Relation of those Things which concerned His Majesty's Estate, which he was commanded.

Message to the House of Commons. For a Conference concerning the State of His Majesty's Affairs.

Message sent to the Commons, by Mr. Attorney General and Sir William Bird, in hæc verba:

That, according to His Majesty's Commandment, Relation of His Estate being now made by the Lord Treasurer unto their Lordships, and conceiving the like hath been made in your House, by some Member thereof; and this being like to be the Foundation of those Endeavours which must first arise from you, left some Doubts might arise upon the Relation in your House, as there have been amongst them, which by all means their Lordships labour to avoid; the Lords desire a Meeting with you, with all convenient Speed that you can, where the Prince his Highness is pleased to be in his own Person, to clear such Doubts as have risen amongst them, and may, peradventure, arise amongst you. And their Lordships will meet you with a Committee of Twenty-four.

That they delivered their Lordships Message, which the Commons took into their Consideration, and have Resolved to give their Lordships a Meeting with a proportionable Number of their Committee, at such Time and Place as their Lordships shall appoint.

Message to the House of Commons. The Committees' to meet immediately.

Message sent again to the Commons, by Mr. Attorney General and Mr. Serjeant Crooke: That the Lords have Agreed, That their Committee shall meet presently in the Painted Chamber.

Agreed, None to speak at this Committee, but the Prince his Highness.

Answer.

Answered: That the Commons, having engaged themselves to their Lordships, will attend this Meeting presently, in the same Place, so soon as they have named their Committee.

Phillips, King's Servant, Privilege.

John Phillipps, Esquire, His Majesty's Servant, was this Day brought to the Bar, by virtue of His Majesty's Writ of Habeas corpus, etc. according to the Order of the 5 Martii; and the Writ being read, he was delivered out of Prison per Curiam, and Ordered, That the Party at whose Suit he was arrested should not be troubled therefor, because he knew him not to be the King's Servant.
