Upon reading the Petition of John Praed, Respondent to the Appeal of William Warr; praying a Day for Hearing:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Tuesday the Eight and Twentieth Day of this Instant February, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.
Penn's Bill.
The Lord Guilford reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for enabling George Penne Esquire to sell Lands, for the Payment of his Debts; and other Purposes therein mentioned," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.
Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.
Message from H. C. to return the Bill for naturalizing St. Pierre & al.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Carter and others:
To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to naturalize James St. Pierre, John Denty, and Remond Hensbergh;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to their Lordships Amendments made to the said Bill.

The House being informed, "That there is a Book lately printed, intituled, Cases in Parliament resolved and adjudged, upon Petitions and Writs of Error, without the Leave of this House:"

Sir R. Viner's Creditors, for Relief of, Bill.
The Earl of Stamford reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Relief of the Creditors of Sir Robert Viner Knight and Baronet deceased," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.
Which were read Twice, and agreed to.
ORDERED, That the said Bill be recommitted to the same Committee as before; who are to meet on Monday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers.
Ly. Say & Seal versus Fiennes.
Whereas Monday next was appointed for hearing Counsel, upon the Petition of the Lady Viscountess Say & Seal:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear Counsel thereupon, on Thursday the Second Day of March next, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.
Russia Trade, for enlarging, Bill.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Secretary of the Russia Company do bring to the Lords Committees appointed to consider of the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enlarge the Trade to Russia," on Monday next, at Ten of the Clock, the Charters of the said Company, and a Copy of the Act of Parliament for Confirmation thereof.
Griffith versus Anwill:
After hearing Counsel upon the Petition and Appeal of Hugh Griffith from Decrees pronounced by John Hooke Esquire, Chief Justice of the Great Sessions of the several Counties of Carnarvon, Anglesey, and Merioneth, the Eighteenth Day of August, One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-seven, and the Five and Twentieth Day of April, One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-eight, on Behalf of William Anwill Clerk, and Jane his Wife, the late Widow of Owen Wynne deceased, in a Cause wherein they were Plaintiffs, and Owen Wynne Esquire and Hugh Griffith Gentleman Defendants; as also upon the Answer of the said William Anwill and Jane his Wife put in thereunto:
After due Consideration of what was offered thereupon, it is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of Hugh Griffith shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Decrees therein complained of shall be, and they are hereby, affirmed: And it is further ORDERED, That the said Hugh Griffith shall pay, or cause to be paid, unto the said William Anwill and Jane his Wife, the Sum of Twenty Pounds, for his Costs.
