Tea, Coffee. &c. Duties, on, Bill to continue.
The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for continuing the Duties upon Coffee, Tea, and Chocolate, and Spices, towards Satisfaction of the Debt due for Transport Service for the Reduction of Ireland."
After some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.
And the Lord Bishop of London reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."
Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, An Act for continuing the Duties upon Coffee, Tea, and Chocolate, and Spices, towards Satisfaction of the Debt due for Transport Service for the Reduction of Ireland."
The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

Malt, Bill to repeal the Act against the excessive making of.
Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to repeal an Act made in the Thirty-ninth Year of the Reign of Queen Elizabeth, intituled, An Act to restrain the excessive making of Malt; and to discharge and vacate Orders, made by Justices of Peace by virtue thereof, (fn. 1) Maltsters from making of Malt."
The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.
ORDERED, That the Commons have Notice, the Lords have agreed to the said last Three Bills abovementioned, without any Amendment.
Colchester Workhouses, &c. Bill. Lords do not insist upon their Amendments.
Then the House took into Consideration what was offered at the Conference, by the Commons, upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for erecting Hospitals and Work-houses within the Town of Colchester, in the County of Essex, for the better employing and maintaining the Poor thereof," for their Disagreement to the Clauses B. and C. added by their Lordships to the said Bill.
After Consideration whereof; the House agreed, not to insist upon the said Clauses; and ORDERED, That the Commons have Notice thereof.

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for erecting Work-houses and Houses of Correction, in the Town of Kingston upon Hull, for the Employment and Maintenance of the Poor;" to which they desire their Lordships Concurrence.
Salby, Cawood, &c. Inhabitants of, versus Ayr and Calder Rivers, Bill.
Upon reading the Petition of the Gentlemen, Freeholders, and principal Inhabitants, of the Towns of Selby, Cawood, Wistow, Stillingflleete, Naburne, Acaster, Malbis, Bishopthorpe, Middlethorpe, and Fontforth; praying to be heard, before the passing of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for making navigable the Rivers Ayr and Calder, in the County of Yorke:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners shall be heard, as desired, on Wednesday the Eighteenth Day of this Instant May, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.
