Message to H. C. for Mr. Vernon to attend, about some Ships taken.
A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Sir Richard Holford:
To desire that they will give Leave to Mr. Vernon, a Member of their House, to attend this House, to be examined in relation to the taking of some Ships which came lately from Ireland.
Offices, against buying and selling.
The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act to prevent the buying and selling Offices and Places of Trust."
After some Time, the House was resumed.
And the Lord Cornwallis reported, "That the Committee had made some further Progress in the Bill; and desire another Day may be appointed, to proceed therein."
ORDERED, That on Monday next, at Eleven of the Clock, this House shall be put into a Committee again, to proceed further on the said Bill.

A Message from the House of Commons, by the Lord Coningsby and others:
Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for granting to His Majesty several Duties upon Paper, Vellum, and Parchment, to encourage the bringing of Plate and Hammered Money into the Mints, to be coined;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Brotherton and others:
To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Edward Leigh Esquire and Jane his Wife, and their Trustees, to sell the Manors of Waxham and Horsey, and certain Lands and Tenements in the County of Norfolke; and to purchase and settle other Lands to the same Uses;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to their Lordships Amendments made therein.

Loss of Ships.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That on Tuesday next, at Eleven of the Clock, this House will take into Consideration the Loss of the Provision Ships that went lately from Ireland.
Bridgeman to attend;
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That William Bridgeman Esquire, Secretary of the Admiralty, do attend this House on Tuesday next, at Eleven of the Clock; and bring with him the Abstract of a Letter sent him by Mr. Vernon, concerning the Provision Ships that went lately from Ireland.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled; That Sir George Rooke, Sir
John Houblon, Vice Admiral Mitchell, Mr. Paul Bowens, and Mr. James Ball, do attend this House on Tuesday next, at Eleven of the Clock.
Bp. Landaff versus Iliffe and Drage, for Breach of Privilege:
Upon Oath made at the Bar of this House, "That William Iliff and William Drage have forcibly entered upon the Estate of William Lord Bishop of Landaff, in the County of Leicester, and forced his Tenants to pay their Rents to them, in Time of Privilege of Parliament, in Contempt and Breach of the said Privilege."

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Serjeant at Arms attending this House do forthwith attach the Bodies of the said William Iliff and William Drage, and bring them in safe Custody to the Bar of this House, to answer for their Offence; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.
To Peter Persehouse Esquire, Serjeant at Arms attending this House, his Deputy or Deputies, and every of them; and to all Mayors, Sheriffs, Bailiffs, Constables, and other His Majesty's Officers, to be aiding and assisting in the Execution hereof.
Popple to attend with Papers about illegal Trade in the Plantations.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Mr. Popple, Secretary to the Commissioners of Trade, do attend the Lords Committees appointed to consider of the State of the Trade of this Kingdom, on Monday Morning next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and bring with him a Copy of the Report made by the Commissioners of the Customs, upon Papers presented to them by Mr. Randolph, for suppressing the illegal Trade in the Plantations; as also a Copy of those Papers, which, with the Report, were presented by them to the Committee of Council, the Seventeenth of January, One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-five: And also that Mr. Joseph Ormsted do then attend.
Creditors for Relief of, in Cases of Bankruptcy, Bill.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That on Wednesday next, at Eleven of the Clock, this House shall be put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Relief of Creditors, by making Compositions with their Debtors, in case Two Thirds in Number and Value do agree."
