Trotman's Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to vest certain Lands, late of Samuel Trotman Esquire deceased, lying in Barkeing, Eastham, Westham, and Woolwich, in the Counties of Kent and Essex, in Trustees, to be sold; and to settle other Lands in Lieu thereof."

Milson's Bill.

The Lord Lawarr reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting certain Messuages, Lands, and Tenements, late of Charles Milson deceased, in Trustees, to sell, for Payment of Debts and Legacies; and lay out the Surplus-money in a Purchase of Lands, for the Use of Edward Milson and his Heirs, according to the Will of the said Charles Milson," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

ORDERED, That the Commons have Notice, the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

Paper, &c. for Duties on, and to encourage the bringing in of Plate, &c. Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for granting to His Majesty several Duties upon Paper. Vellum, and Parchment, to encourage the bringing of Plate and Hammered Money into the Mints, to be coined."

ORDERED, That the said Bill be read the Second Time on Wednesday next, at Eleven of the Clock.

Joint-Tenancy, for Partitions of, Bill.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the easier obtaining Partitions of Lands in Coparcenary, Joint-tenancy, and Tenancy in Common," shall be read the Second Time on Thursday next, at Eleven of the Clock.

Luxford versus Tilley, Warden of The Fleet;

Upon reading the Petition of Richard Luxford Gentleman; complaining, amongst other Things, of John Tilley Esquire:

Tilley to attend, and Witnesses about the Bill for Relief of Creditors in Cases of Escapes, &c.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Anthony Church, George Lucy, Anthony Grindall, William Ford, John Hutchison, John Whitwood, Robert Maddox, Walcot Hobson, Captain Whiteing, Francis Duncomb, Richard Luxford, John Holland, Yarwood, Gawin Mason, Edward Jorden and Blanch his Wife, George Townsend Gentlemen, and Mrs. Hancock, do attend this House To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, to be sworn, in order to be examined before the Lords Committees appointed to consider of a Bill, intituled, "An Act for the more effectual Relief of Creditors, in Cases of Escapes, and for preventing Abuses in Prisons and pretended Privileged Places," on Wednesday next, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and that the said John Tilley do then attend the said Committee to whom the Consideration of the Particulars mentioned in the said Petition are referred, to be examined; and report their Opinion thereupon to this House.

Offices, against buying and selling, Bill.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act to prevent the buying and selling Offices and Places of Trust."

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Cornwallis reported, "That the Committee had made some further Progress in the Bill; and desire another Day may be appointed, to proceed thereon."

ORDERED, That on Thursday next, at Eleven of the Clock, this House shall be put into a Committee again, to proceed further on the said Bill.

Messages from H. C. to return Goodwin's and Millward's Bills.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Whitaker and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Nicholas Goodwin the Elder and Nicholas Goodwin the Younger to sell the Manor of Winslow, in the County of Bucks; and, with the Monies arising thereby, and other Monies to be advanced by the said Nicholas Goodwin the Elder, to purchase Lands of a greater Yearly Value, to be settled to the same Uses as the said Manor is now settled;" to which they have agreed, without any Amendment.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Farrer and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting certain Lands of William Milward, in the County of Hereford, Clerk, in Trustees, for Payment of Debts;" to which they have agreed, with some Amendments, whereunto they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Then the Amendments were read Three Times, and agreed to; and ORDERED, That the Commons have Notice thereof.
