Kirke's Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for (fn. 1) settling the Estate of John Kirke deceased, for Payment of his Debts."

Griffith versus Lloyd.

Upon reading the Petition of Edward Griffith Esquire; shewing, "That one Richard Lloyd Gentleman hath preferred his Appeal to this House, from a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, the Eleventh of February, 19° Car. Secundi; and praying, that the said Richard Lloyd may give good Security for Costs, if this House shall think fit to affirm the said Decree; or otherwise that the said Appeal may be dismissed this House:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Richard Lloyd shall, on or before Tuesday the Two and Twentieth Day of this Instant January, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, enter into a Recognizance of One Hundred Pounds, with Two sufficient Sureties, for Payment of Costs, if the Decree from which he appealed shall be affirmed; and, in Default thereof, the said Appeal of Richard Lloyd shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House.

Cosseratt & al. Nat. Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing of Bernard Cosseratt, alias Mourte, and Alexander Ringli."

ORDERED, That the Consideration of the said Bill shall be committed to the same Committee to whom Woollaston's Bill is committed.

Peirce's Bill.

The Earl of Bridgewater reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the vesting certain Lands and Tenements, the Estate of George Gilbert Peirce of The Middle Temple, London, Esquire, in Trustees, for the raising Monies, for the Payment of his Debts," as fit to pass, with several Amendments.

Which, being read Twice, were agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Trials for Treason, Bill.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee, upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for regulating of Trials, in Cases of High Treason and Misprision of Treason."

After some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Cornwallis reported, "That the Committee had made some further Progress in the Bill; and desire another Day may be appointed, for the House to be in a Committee again."

ORDERED, That this House shall be put into a Committee again, to proceed on the said Bill, on Thursday next, at Twelve of the Clock; and all the Lords and Judges be summoned then to attend.

Adjourn.
