Prayers.

JOHN William David did this Day take the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy, before Mr. Speaker, at the Clerk's Table, in Order to his Naturalization.

Berwicke Election.

Mr. Serjeant Charlton reports, That the Committee of Elections had taken into Consideration the Cause between Mr. Gray and Mr. Collingwood, touching the Election for the Town of Berwicke upon Tweed: And, having examined the Witnesses, and fully heard the Matter on both Sides, That the Committee was of Opinion, That Mr. Collingwood had the Majority of Voices, was duly elected, and ought to sit.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Committee of Elections: And that Mr. Collingwood was duly elected for the Town of Berwick.

Northern Borders.

A Bill to continue a former Act for Prevention of Rapine on the Northern Borders, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be committed to Sir Wm. Hickman, Mr. Pryn, Sir Thom. Tompkins, Sir Phil. Musgrave, Sir Anthony Irby, Sir Clifford Clifton, Mr. Bennett, Mr. Dalston, Sir Hen. Bellasis, Sir Wm. Lowther, Sir Lanc. Lake, Sir Wm. Morton, Lord Castleton, Sir John Coriton, Sir Thom. Allen, Mr. Collingwood, Sir John Talbott, and all the Members of this House that serve for the Counties of Westmorland, Cumberland, Northumberland, and Yorksheere: And they are to meet in the Speaker's Chamber, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, on Saturday next: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Bodvile's Estate.

The House then resumed the Debate of the Cause between Mr. Robarts and others, and Mr. Wyn and others, upon the Bill depending in this House, for setting aside a pretended Will, and settling the Estate, of John Bodvile Esquire, deceased.

And Mr. Serjeant Littleton and Mr. Jones, Two Members of the House, having given their Testimony touching the Sanity of Memory in Mr. Bodvile about the Time of passing the Fines;

And Mr. Henry Wyn having given his Evidence touching the Intention and Declaration of Mr. Bodvile for settling his Estate; and of Mr. Wyn's Practice and Contrivance in procuring the last Will;

And Sir James Smith having given his Testimony touching the Credit of one Toll;

And the Matter being debated in the House;

Resolved, &c. That the Bill for setting aside a pretended Will, and settling the Estate, of John Bodvile Esquire, deceased, be committed to Sir Lanc.
