The Mace.

Mr. Love reports several Forms of a new Mace.

Resolved, &c. That this shall be the Form of the new Mace.

Carlisle and Berwick.

Ordered, That the Committee of the Army be required to issue their Warrant to the Treasurers at War, to pay the One thousand Two hundred and Forty-six Pounds, formerly ordered to the Mayor of Carlisle, for the Use of that Garison, being for the Ease of Cumberland and Westmorland, for whose Use the said Monies was formerly to be disposed of by the Committee of Darby: And that the Receipt of the said Mayor, with the Warrants of the said Committee, shall be a sufficient Discharge to the Treasurers aforesaid.

Ordered, That all the Remainder of the Fine of George Mynne, as well That which was given to Sir John Meldram, not really paid out by the Committee of Haberdashers Hall to the Heir of Sir John Meldram, as all the Residue of the said Fine, shall be paid to the Mayor of Barwick, for the building up and repairing the Fortifications of that Garison, according to a former Order of the Seventeenth of March last: And that Care be taken for Payment of Sir John Hippesley's Debt, according to the former Engagement.

Ordered, That what Monies shall be raised and received by the Committee of Haberdashers Hall, of the Lord Lanerick, and Lord Lodderdale, which is not already disposed of by any former Order, shall be paid to the Treasurers of the Army, to be by them paid over to whom Sir Arthur Heslerigg shall appoint, by Warrant from the Committee of the Army, for the Fortification of Carlisle and Barwick, as Sir Arthur Heslerigg shall direct: And the Committee at Haberdashers Hall are required to give Warrant to the Treasurers there, to make Payment thereof to the Treasurers at War accordingly.

Ordered, That the Report touching Sir Thomas Hampson be made on Tuesday Morning.

Loan by the City.

The Lord Grey reports from the Committee appointed to go into London to the Common Council Yesterday, That the said Committee, and likewise the General, the Chief Justice of the Upper Bench, and the Chief Baron, did accordingly go thither Yesterday, and propounded to the Common Council the Business of borrowing the One hundred and Twenty thousand Pounds upon the Security propounded: And that the Common Council did well resent the same; and express a great deal of Forwardness to advance that Sum; and have made Choice of some Persons, who (if this House shall be pleased to appoint a Committee for that Purpose) are to wait upon such Committee, to put the same into the best way to raise the said Money.

Ordered, That the same Committee, or any Five or more of them, be appointed to meet with the Persons chosen by the Common Council; and let them know, the Parliament doth take notice of their Willingness and Readiness to promote the publick Good in this Business; and do return Thanks to the Common Council for their good Affections; and to treat with them touching their present Advancing of the One hundred and Twenty thousand Pounds: And this Committee are to meet this Afternoon for that Purpose; and so de die in diem; and to make Report thereof to the House: And Mr. Pury and Mr. Trenchard are added to this Committee.

Fee-farm Rents.

Ordered, That Sir Henry Vane senior, and Mr. Long, be added to the Committee for the Sale of Fee-farm Rents: And that the Committee do prepare, and report to the House, the State of the Arrears of the Fee-farm Rents distinctly; and the Times when they did accrue.

Pirates.

Colonel Wauton reports from the Council of State, an Act, impowering the Court of Admiralty, and the Judges of the Admiralty, to try Piracies at Sea, and other Felonies, Crimes, and Offences, committed upon the Sea, and other Rivers: Which was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to Sir Arthur Heslerigg, Mr. Miles Corbett, Alderman Atkins, Lord Grey, Mr. Boone, Mr. Toll, Mr. Love, Mr. Hill, Mr. Garland, Mr. Long: And this Committee is to meet this Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the Exchequer Chamber: And all that come to this Committee are to have Voices: And the particular Care hereof is referred to Mr. Garland.

Customs.

Ordered, That the Report touching the Customs be made on Monday next.

Oxford Petitions.

Ordered, That the Petitions for Oxford be reported To-morrow Morning.

Sequestrations.

Ordered, That the Act for calling the Treasurers of Guildhall for Sequestrations to Accompt be reported To-morrow Morning.

Army Committee, &c.

An Act, appointing the Committee of the Army, and Treasurers for the Assessment of Ninety thousand Pounds per Mensem, for the Forces in England and Ireland, was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to the Committee of the Army.

Resolved, &c. That none of the Colonels or Officers of the Army be of the Committee of the Army in this Act.

The Names of a Committee of the Army in this Act were this Day read; and approved.
