Thursday, the 17th of July, 1651.

Prayers.

A Paper read.

RESOLVED, &c. That the Paper presented be read.

Resolved, That the said Paper be now read again.

Resolved, That these Words, "Be it Enacted," be added to that Paper.

Ordered, That the said Paper be committed unto Mr. Attorney General, Mr. Garland, Major Salwey, Sir Henry Vane, Colonel Lister, Mr. Ash, Colonel Fielder, Mr. Cawley, Mr. Bond, Mr. Strickland, Dr. Palmer, Lord Commissioner Lyle, Sir John Bourchier, Sir John Danvers, Mr. Anlaby, Mr. Carew, Mr. Scott, Mr. * Darley, Colonel Marten, Mr. Say; or any Five of them: And all that come to have Voices: And they are to meet this Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber; and so de die in diem: And they are to bring it in on Tuesday Morning next, the first Business.

And the special Care hereof is committed to Mr. Salwey, and Mr. Garland.

Army.

Ordered, That the Act touching the Soldiers in Service in Scotland and Ireland be read To-morrow Morning, next after the Business for Ireland.

Ld. Brohall.

Ordered, That the Lord Brohall's Business be taken into Consideration To-morrow Morning.

Ld. Deincourt's Estates.

An Act for granting and confirming the Manors, Lands, Tenements, and Hereditaments of the Lord Deincourt, mentioned in an Act, intituled, An Act for the Sale of the Manors, Lands, Tenements, and Hereditaments of Francis Lord Deincourt unto Launcelott Lake, and Thomas Lake, and their Heirs, was this Day read the First and Second time.

And the Question being put, That this Act be Committed;

It passed with the Negative.

And the Question being put, That this Act be Ingrossed;

It passed with the Negative.

The said Act, being put to the Question, passed.

Jameses Fair.

Resolved, That the Fair usually held and kept yearly at Jameses, within the Liberty of the City of Westminster, on or about the Five-and-twentieth Day of July, be forborn this Year: And that no Fair be kept or held there by any Person or Persons whatsoever, until the Parliament shall take further Order.

Representative.

Ordered, That the Grand Committee, touching an equal Representative, do sit on Wednesday Morning next: And that they do hasten the Report, touching that Business.

Late King's Property.

An additional Act for Sale of the Goods belonging to the late King, Queen, and Prince, was this Day read the Third Time.

Resolved, That the Time for Discoveries, within this Bill, be the First Day of October 1651.

The said Act, so amended, being put to the Question; passed: And

It is Ordered, That the said Act be forthwith printed and published.

Smithsby's Claims.

A Letter from the Lord General of the Eight-andtwentieth of June 1650, touching Mr. Smithsby, was this Day read.

The humble Petition of Wm. Smithesby, was this Day read.

Ordered, That the said Wm. Smithesby have the Sum of Two thousand Pounds, out of the Monies raised or to be raised, by Sale of the Goods of the late King, Queen, and Prince: And the Trustees for Sale of the said Goods are hereby impowered and authorized to make Payment of the said Two thousand Pounds to the said Wm. Smithesby, or his Assigns, accordingly: And the Acquittance of the said Wm. Smithsby, or his Assigns, shall be their Discharge.

Late King's Servants.

Ordered, That the Lists, touching the late King's Servants, be taken into Consideration on Tuesday Morning next, the first Business.
