Prayers.

Recorder of Wickham.

ORDERED, by the Parliament, That Edmond Petty Esquire be and is hereby nominated and appointed, Recorder of the Town of Wickham in the County of Bucks: And that Mr. Lane be and is hereby discharged from being Recorder of the said Town.

Ld. Howard.

The humble Petition of Edward Lord Howard, with the Certificate of Dr. Mayerne, was this Day read.

Resolved, By the Parliament, That Edward Lord Howard be, by Warrant of Mr. Speaker, sent to the Tower, as a Prisoner, within Fourteen Days, if his Health will permit, or as soon as it shall permit.

Taking the Engagement.

Resolved, That Major Anthony Morgan be admitted to proceed and go on in his Suits in Chancery, and other Courts, notwithstanding the Exception of not taking the Engagement here in England; it having been certified by the Lord Deputy General of Ireland, That the said Major Anthony Morgan hath taken the said Engagement there, where he is in actual Service: And that the Judges of the several Courts, and of the Assizes, do take Notice hereof, and admit his Proceedings accordingly, as if he had taken the Engagement in England; and the same had been certified according to the Act.

Ordered, That an Act be brought in by the Lords Commissioners of the Great Seal of England; to declare the Intent and Meaning of the Act for taking the Engagement, in Cases where it hath been taken in Ireland or Scotland.

Irish Qualifications.

The House this Day took up the Debate upon the Qualifications for Ireland.

The House, according to former Order, adjourned itself to Tuesday Morning next, Eight of Clock.
