Prayers.

Sir A. Loftus' Claims.

SIR John Danvers reports from the Council of State, the Opinion of that Council, That the Sum of Four thousand One hundred Twenty-eight Pounds is to be paid unto Sir Adam Loftus: That Interest shall be allowed unto him, from the Time of the disbursing of the Four thousand One hundred Twenty-eight Pounds, until the same shall be paid unto him: That some Consideration may be had of Sir Adam Loftus, in regard that his Office is disposed of otherwise, and was without Profit during some Time of his executing the said Office.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of Irish Affairs, sitting in the Star Chamber, to call to their Assistance such Auditors as they think fit, to take the whole Accompt of Sir Adam Loftus; and state the Truth of the Business to the House, touching this Four thousand One hundred Twenty-eight Pounds.

Excise.

Mr. Reynolds reports an Act touching the Second Four hundred thousand Pounds charged on the Receipts of the Excise, and Goldsmiths Hall.

Which was this Day read the First and Second Time; and, upon the Question, passed; and ordered to be forthwith printed and published.

Bishops Lands.

Mr. Reynolds also reports an Act for the Admitting of Purchasers of Bishops Lands to pay their whole Purchase Money by Weavers Hall Bills.

Weavers Hall Bills.

Ordered, That, in Pursuance of the Act of Parliament, passed this Day, intituled, An Act touching the second Four hundred thousand Pounds charged on the Receipts of the Excise, and Goldsmiths Hall; that the Treasurers of Weavers Hall be required and injoined to repay unto the Treasurers of Goldsmiths Hall, all such Monies as have been paid by the said Treasurers of Goldsmiths Hall, unto the said Treasurers of Weavers Hall for Satisfaction of any Money due upon Weavers Hall Bills: And that the Treasurers of Goldsmiths Hall do return unto the said Treasurers of Weavers Hall, all such Discharges as they have received from them for those Monies.

French Trade.

The Lord Commissioner Lysle reports an Act prohibiting the Importation of any Wines of the Growth of France, and all Manufactures of Wool and Silk made in France.

Which was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, passed; and ordered to be forthwith printed and published.

Officers of the House.

Ordered, That Mr. Scott do make his Report touching the Clerk of this House, the Serjeant at Arms, and Clerk Assistant of this House, on Thursday Morning, the first Business.

Earl of Denbigh.

Ordered, That Colonel Purefoy do make his Report touching the Earl of Denbigh, on Thursday Morning.

Col. Feilder.

Ordered, That Sir Peter Wentworth do make his Report concerning Colonel Feilder, on Friday Morning.

Report deferred.

Ordered, That Mr. Holland do make his Report concerning Mr. Warner, from Goldsmiths Hall, on Friday next.

Prisoners.

Ordered, That the Act touching Prisoners be reported on Thursday next.

General Lambert.

Ordered, That the Act for Major General Lambert be reported on Thursday next.

Hat Trade.

Ordered, That the Bill for prohibiting the Importation of Hat and Hadbands be read on Friday Morning.

W. India Islands.

Ordered, That the Bill for settling the Islands in the West Indies be read on Thursday.

Hospitals, &c.

Ordered, That the Act for Hospitals, and Probate of Wills, be reported on Friday next.

Horton's &c. Petition.

The House being informed, That there were divers Officers of the Army attending at the Door:

They were ordered to be called in: And, being come to the Bar, after a Declaration made to the House, of the Causes of their Address, they presented, in the Name of themselves, and divers others, a Petition.

Which (after the Petitioners were withdrawn) was read; and was, intituled, The humble Petition of Colonel Horton, Colonel Okey, and the rest of the Officers and Soldiers formerly employed in the Brigade of the said Colonel Horton in North Wales."

Ordered, That it be referred to the former Committee, to consider of this Petition, and likewise of the Petition of John Barlow, and of the whole Business; and likewise of some Way how the Petitioners may have the Fruit of the former Order of this House; and report it to the House: And Mr. Allen, Colonel Jones, Mr. Robinson, Mr. Garland, Sir Peter *, Colonel Stapley, Mr. Holland, Colonel Fielder, Mr. Bond, Mr. Clement, Mr. Browne, Mr. Andrewes, be added to the former Committee: And the Committee are to meet on Thursday next, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Place where they formerly sat.

Liverpoole Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue forth his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown in Chancery, to issue out a Writ for Election of a Burgess for the Borough of Liverpoole in the County of Lancaster, to serve in this present Parliament, in the Place of Sir Richard Wynne Knight and Baronet, deceased.

Ordered, That this House doth adjourn itself until Thursday, when the House riseth.

Petition from Lancashire, &c.

The House being informed, That divers Lancashire and Cheshire Gentlemen were at the Door;

They were called in; and then presented a Petition to this House.

Which (after the Petitioners were withdrawn) was read; and was intituled, "The continued Petition of divers Well-affected in the Counties of Lancashire and Cheshire.

Earl of Derby.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth declare, That the Earl of Derby shall not be admitted to Composition.

Persons recommitted.

Whereas Captain Cox, Colonel Jeremy Baines, Colonel Wm. Chapman, Colonel Joseph Vaughan, Colonel Lawrence Bromfield, Colonel Edward Hooker, Captain John Jones, were heretofore committed to the Serjeant at Arms attending this House: It is Ordered, by the Commons, assembled in Parliament, That the Serjeant at Arms do take again into his Custody such of the Persons above-named as have not taken forth the Orders for their respective Discharges, under the Hand of the Clerk of this House; and do keep them in Custody until further Order from this House.

The House, according to former Order, doth adjourn till Thursday Morning, Eight of the Clock.
