Prayers.

Powell's Funeral.

ORDERED, That Twenty Pounds be given for the Burial of Major Powell: And that the same be charged upon Haberdashers Hall: And the Committee at Haberdashers Hall are required to make present Payment thereof accordingly, for that Purpose.

Irish Affairs.

Mr. Robinson reports from the Council of State, a Letter from Sir Charles Coote, from Londonderry, of the Fifteenth of August 1649, and another of the Fourteenth instant, with Articles of Agreement between General Owen O Neale and Colonel Richard Coote, in the Behalf of Sir Charles Coote, Lord President of Connaght, dated 22 May 1649.

Which were all this Day read.

Resolved, &c. That the Vote of this House, of the Tenth of this Month, in the case of Colonel Munck, communicated to Sir Charles Coote, as the Resolution of this House, and a Direction for him how to behave himself in the Transaction between him and Owen Rowe O Neale.

Resolved, &c. That this House is well satisfied of the Diligence, Faithfulness, and Integrity, of Sir Charles Coote, in preserving the Garison of Londonderry for the Interest of the Commonwealth of England: And that it be specially recommended to the Council of State, to take care for Provisions for him for the future to prevent the like Streights, and Encouragement of him, and his Officers, and Soldiers, under his Command.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Council of State, to give Order for present Payment of One hundred Pounds to Mr. King, who brought the Letters from Sir Charles Coote.

Ordered, That these several Letters and Articles, together with the Vote of the House thereupon, be forthwith printed and published.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Council of State, to examine the Business touching Captain Keysar, set forth in Sir Charles Coote's Letter; and to call him to an Account for it.

Adherents of Car. 2.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth declare, That all Persons, whether English or Scotts, who have been under the Pay of the Parliament of England, in the Service of Ireland, and have revolted, and betrayed their Trust there; and all other Persons who have or shall adhere to, or assist, Charles Stuart, Son of the late King, or any the Forces in Ireland, against the Parliament of England; are, and be adjudged to be, Traitors and Rebels to the Commonwealth of England; and all their Estates shall be confiscated, and their Persons proceeded against as Traitors and Rebels: And that all such Officers as have so betrayed their Trust, be proceeded against by a Court Martial there.

Ordered, That this Declaration be forthwith printed and published: And that it be referred to the Council of State, to communicate the same to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, and such other there as they shall think fit; that the same be put in Execution.

Relief of Arthington.

Ordered, That the Serjeant at Arms do pay and deliver unto Mrs. Arthington, Wife of Dr. Arthington, out of the Money in the Box, for her present Relief, Five Pounds.

Grant to Ld. Fairefax,

Mr. Challener reports Amendments to an Act for settling Manors, Lands, Tenements, and Hereditaments, of the clear yearly Value of Four thousand Pounds, upon Thomas Lord Fairefax, Captain General of the Forces of England: Which were twice read.

Resolved, &c. That, instead of these Words, in the Act, "Worcester House, late called or known by the Name of Russell House, situate and being in the Strand, in the Parish of St. Clement's Danes, in the County of Middlesex, late the Inheritance of Henry Earl of Worcester," these Words be inserted; viz. York House, situate and being in the Strand, in the Parish of St. Martin's in the County of Middlesex, and late the Inheritance of George Duke of Buckingham."

Resolved, &c. That this Act be re-committed: And Mr. Attorney, Lord Commissioner Whitelock and Mr. Bond be added to that Committee: And the special Care hereof is recommended to Mr. Attorney: And that he do report the same on This-day-sevennight.

Earl of Derby.

Ordered, That the Committee at Goldsmiths Hall be injoined not to make, or proceed in any Composition made, or to be made, on the Behalf of the Earl of Derby: And that the Treasurers of Goldsmiths Hall be required not to receive any Monies upon any such Composition: And Mr. Ashe is to acquaint the Committee and Treasurers herewith.

Resolved, &c. That the House doth adjourn itself, according to the former Order, until Tuesday next, Eight of the Clock.
