Preachers thanked.

ORDERED, That Mr. Wheeler do, from this House, give Thanks unto Mr. Valentime, for the great Pains he took in his Sermon preached on this Day at Margarett's Westminster, before the House of Commons: And that he desire him to print his Sermon: Wherein he is to have the like Privilege in Printing of it, as others of the like Kind usually have had.

Ordered, That Colonel Leigh do, from this House, desire Mr. Herle to preach before the House of Commons, at Margarett's, Westminster, on the next monthly Fast Day.

Ordered, That Mr. Wheeler do, from this House, desire Mr. Thomas Goodwyn to preach before the House of Commons, at Margarett's, Westminster, on the next monthly Fast Day.

A Prisoner to attend in Exchequer Court.

Ordered, That Alderman Cullum, one of the Sheriffs of the City of London, and now Prisoner by Order of this House, for High Treason, in order to his Tryal, shall have Liberty, with his Keeper, to come to the Exchequer, according to the Custom and Practice in these Cases, to deliver up his Accompts; the Year of his Sheriffalty being determined, and another to be sworn Sheriff.

City Regalia.

Ordered, That Sir John Gayer Knight, late Mayor of the City of London, now Prisoner in the Tower, be hereby required to deliver the Sword, Mace, Cap of Maintenance, Collar of S S, and other Ensigns of Honour, and the City Plate, accustomed to be in the Custody and at the Service of the Mayor, unto Alderman Warner, the present Mayor of the City of London.

Mayor of Oxford.

Ordered, That Mr. Nixon, the present Mayor of the City of Oxon, shall continue Mayor thereof, and hold and execute the Place, Charge, and Office of Mayor of the said City, to all Intents and Purposes, notwithstanding any Charter, Usage, or Custom to the contrary, until the House take further Order.

Adultery, &c.

Ordered, That the Ordinance in Mr. Serjeant Wilde's Hand, for punishing Adulteries, Blasphemies, Swearing and Cursing, &c. be brought in, reported, and read, on the next Day of Publick Humiliation: And that the Care of this Business be more particularly referred to Mr. Weaver.

Poor, &c.

An Ordinance for the Relief and Employment of the Poor, and Punishment of Vagrants, and other disorderly Persons, was this Day read the First time. And

It is Ordered, That it be read the Second time, on Friday next come Fortnight, between the Hours of Ten and Twelve.
