PRAYERS.

Bailiffs of Oxford.

ORDERED, by the Commons, assembled in Parliament, That Mr. Anthony Slatford, and Mr. Mathew Langley, the present Bailiffs of the City of Oxford, shall continue Bailiffs thereof; and hold and execute the Place, Charge and Office of Bailiffs of the said City, to all Intents and Purposes, notwithstanding any Charter, Usage, or Custom to the contrary, until the House take further Order.

Earl of Mulgrave, &c.

Ordered, That the Report concerning the Petition of the Earl of Mulgrave, and the Alum Business, be made on Monday next.

Knollys' Delinquency.

Mr. Edward Ashe reports the Fine, and an Ordinance for pardoning the Delinquencies, and taking off the Sequestration of the Estate, of Sir Henry Knollys, of Grove Place in the County of Southampton, Baronet.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth accept of the Sum of Twelve hundred and Fifty Pounds, for a Fine, for the Delinquency of Sir Henry Knollis, of Grove Place in the County of Southampton, Baronet: His Offence, That he left his Habitation, and adhered to the Enemies of the Parliament: He rendered before December 1645: His Estate, in Fee Tail, per Annum, Three hundred and Forty Pounds; the like in old Rents, per Annum, Sixty Pounds; and also, in dry Rents, per Annum, Two Pounds; in Fee, per Annum, One hundred Twenty Pounds; the like in old Rents, per Annum, One Pound Ten Shillings; and also, in dry Rents, per Annum, One Pound; in Reversion, for a Life after a Life, per Annum, One hundred Pounds; the like in old Rents, per Annum, Twenty Pounds: Out of which issues to a Free School, per Annum, Five Pounds; for Rent, per Annum, Seventy-three Pounds Ten Shillings: Which, being allowed, leaves the Fine, at a Tenth, Twelve hundred Fifty Pounds.

An Ordinance for granting a Pardon unto Sir Henry Knollis, of Grove Place in the County of Southampton, Baronet, for his Delinquency, and for taking off his Sequestration, was this Day read; and, upon the Question, passed; and ordered to be sent unto the Lords for their Concurrence.

Tonage and Poundage.

An Ordinance for Tonage and Poundage, was this Day read the First time; and, ordered, upon the Question, to be read the Second time To-morrow Morning, the first Business.

Resolved, &c. That the Collection of the Subsidy of Tonage and Poundage shall continue for the Term of Two Years, from the Expiration of the former Time.

Navy Supply.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of the Navy, to treat with the present Commissioners of the Customs, or such other Persons as they shall think fit, for the Advance of Monies for the carrying on the Service of the Navy.

Treasurers at Wars.

Mr. Pury is appointed to carry to the Lords, for their Concurrence, the Ordinance for securing and paying unto the Treasurers at Wars the Thirty thousand Pounds advanced by them, and so forth.

Treaties.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Members of both Houses, that are of the Committee of both Kingdoms, to consider of the large Treaty, and the Three late Treaties, between the Kingdoms; and to report to the House the State of them, how they stand in reference to any Desire of the King's Consent unto them, or Confirmation of them.

Message to Lords.

Resolved, &c. That the Lords Concurrence be desired in the Vote of this House, for making once again an Application unto the King.

Sir Robert Pye carried it to the Lords.

He was appointed likewise to desire the Lords that are of the Committee of both Kingdoms, to meet at Derby House this Afternoon, and to fit To-morrow, and on Saturday.

Propositions to the King.

Resolved, &c. That the Lords Concurrence be desired in those Votes that the House has passed, concerning the Matter of such Propositions as they have voted to be prepared to be sent to the King for his Consent.

Sir John Evelyn is appointed to carry them to the Lords.

Resolved, &c. That the Matter of the Proposition, so far as relates to the declaring and making void the Cessation of Ireland, and to settle the Prosecution of the War of Ireland in both Houses of the Parliament of England, be prepared to be sent to the King for his Consent.

Resolved, &c. That the Matter of the Proposition concerning the nominating the chief Officers of England and Ireland by both Houses of the Parliament of England, and in the Intervals of Parliaments, by the Committees of Parliament appointed to that Purpose, to be approved by the Houses at their next Sitting, be prepared to be sent to the King for his Consent.

Resolved, &c. That it be referred to a Committee, to consider of a Proposition to be prepared to be sent to the King touching Religion, in the Points of Government and Doctrine; viz. unto Mr. Rous, Mr. Ashhurst, Mr. Nath. Fienis, Mr. Drake, Mr. Swynfen, Sir John Temple, Sir Walter Erle, Mr. Whittacre, Sir Wm. Armyn, Mr. Purefoy, Mr. Lisle, Mr. Solicitor, Lieutenant General Cromwell, Mr. Ball, Colonel Birch, Colonel Leigh, Mr. Weaver, Sir John Evelyn of Wiltes, Mr. Selden, Mr. Marten, Sir John Danvers, Sir John Franklyn, Sir Wm. Massam, Mr. Challener, Mr. Crowder, Mr. Harrington, Mr. Samuel Browne, Mr. Holland, Sir Peter Wentworth, Mr. Strickland: And are to meet upon it, this Afternoon, at Three of Clock in the Exchequer Chamber: And the Care of this Business is more particularly referred unto Mr. Crowder: And they are to bring it in on Saturday Morning next.

Violence to Parliament.

Ordered, That, To-morrow Morning, the first Business, the House do proceed in, and take into further Consideration, the Report from the Committee appointed to examine the Force and Violence upon the Houses.

Propositions to the King.

Ordered, That on Saturday Morning next, the House do resume the Consideration of what shall be sent to the King for his Consent.

Army.

Ordered, That on Monday Morning next peremptorily, the first Business, and nothing to intervene, the House do take into Consideration the Report, and whole Business, concerning the Armies and Forces of England and Ireland: And that Mr. Speaker do put the House in mind hereof.

Answer from Lords.

Sir Robert Pye brings Answer, That the Lords do agree to all the Orders, and whole Message, carried by him; viz. For the Meeting of a Committee of both Kingdoms at Derby House, for making once again an Application to the King: And that their Lordships would fit Tomorrow, and on Saturday.
