PRAYERS

Printing Earl of Strafford's Verses.

ORDERED, That the Consideration of the Printing of Verses, and other Papers, under the Name of the Earl of Strafford, be referred to the Committee for Printing of Books: And That Committee is to sit this Afternoon at Two of Clock, in the Inner Court of Wards.

Printing Members Speeches.

Ordered, That the Committee, appointed to consider of the Printing of the Speeches of the Members of this House, do sit this Afternoon at Two of Clock, in the Inner Court of Wards.

Leave of Absence to a Witness.

Whereas one Mr. John Blincoe was commanded to appear, as a Witness in a Cause, at the Committee for Grievances; .. shall have Liberty, in regard there are Forty Causes before that Cause, to repair into the Country; provided that he repair hither upon new Summons.

Security of Sussex, &c.

That the Motion that was made, concerning some Consideration to be had for the Providing of the County of Sussex with Ammunition, and securing it with some Fort or Castle; and the Considerations for other Counties of the like Nature; be referred to the Committee appointed to consider of some Ways for the Security of the Land.

Coat and Conduct-money.

And it is referred to the same Committee, to consider of the Coat and Conduct-money, that has been levied in the several Counties.

Sir Tho. Pelham, Sir Wm. Armyn, Sir Wm. Lewis, and Sir Edw. Patridge, are added to this Committee: And all, that will come, are to have Voices: And all the Certificates from the Counties concerning the Deputy Lieutenants, and the Force of the County, are referred to the Consideration of this Committee: And are to meet on Monday at Two post meridiem, in the Star-chamber.

Privilege- Counterteiting a Member's Hand.

* Bethell and Jo. Jones were called in, to aver an Information, that was given in by Mr. Lile, a Member of this.., that one Hemmings had counterfeited his Hand.

Ordered, that Henry Hemmings be forthwith sent for, as a Delinquent, by the Serjeant at Arms, for counterfeiting the Hand of Mr. Lile, a Member of this House, to several Warrants.

The Judges.

Ordered, That the Committee for the Judges do meet To-morrow post meridiem at Two of Clock, in the Duchycourt.

Bp. of Canterbury.

Ordered, That the Bishop of Canterburye's Committee do meet To-morrow post meridiem at Two of Clock.

Bp. of Ely.

Ordered, That the Bishop of Ely's Committee do meet To-morrow post meridiem, in the usual Place.

Customers.

Ordered, That the Committee for the Customers do meet on Monday at Two post meridiem, in the usual Place.

Printing.

Ordered, That the Committee for Breach of Privilege of Parliament, in 3° Car', do meet on Thursday, post meridiem, in the Duchy chamber.

Publick Bills.

Ordered, That the Committee for all publick Bills do meet To-morrow post meridiem at Two of Clock, in the usual Place.

The Protestation.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the Explanation, made by this House, of a Clause of the Protestation, shall be printed and published with the Protestation.

Person committed.

Mr. Smith was called in to the Bar; and, after he had said something, it was Ordered, That the Keeper of the Gate-house be required to receive the said Mr. Smith into his Custody, as his Prisoner; and there to detain him, in safe Custody, till this House shall take further Order therein.

Fees of Officers of the House.

Ordered, That a Committee be appointed, to consider of the Fees of the Clerk, and Serjeant, and their Servants; and make Report of them to this House.

This is referred to the Committee for the Perusal of the Clerk's Book: And they are to meet on Tuesday, post meridiem, in the Treasury-chamber.

Raising Money

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Hide called to the Chair.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Upon Mr. Hide's Report, from the Grand Committee, it was

Resolved, upon the Question, That every Man's Lands, of what Degree soever, or in whose Possession soever the said Lands are, shall be rated towards the raising the Four hundred thousand Pounds.

Business to be done.

Ordered, That the House meet To-morrow Morning at Seven of Clock; and that at Eight the House take into further Consideration the Matter of Providing of Monies; and That being finished, to proceed with the Treaty.

Raising Money.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Care of Serjeant Evers and Serjeant Creswell, to prepare and draw a Bill for the Raising of Four hundred thousand Pounds, according to the Resolutions of the House in that Behalf: And they are to bring it with all Speed and Expedition.

Popish Recusants.

Sir John Francklyn, Mr.Whitakers, Sir Gilbert Gerrard, Mr. Craddocke, Mr. Cage, Sir Hen. Mildmay, Sir Jo. Culpepper, Sir Symonds D'Ewes.

This Committee, or any Two of them, is to meet this Afternoon, at Two of Clock, in the Inner Court of Wards; to consider of an Information, in Writing, presented this Day to the House, concerning dangerous Words spoken by Recusants; and all other Informations of the like Nature: And have Power to send for Dr.Moore, Dr. Cadyman, and such other Recusants, as they shall think fit, that have stayed in Town, in Contempt of the King's Proclamation, grounded upon an Ordinance of Parliament; to examine them, upon their Recusancy; and to report the same to the House: They have likewise Power to send for all such Parties, Witnesses, Papers, Records, as they shall think necessary, for the better Expediting of the Businesses committed unto them.
