Penwarne's Estate.

AN ingrossed Bill, sent down from the Lords, intituled, An Act to enable Robert Penwarne to sell Lands to pay his Brothers and Sisters Portions; and also, to pay Debts; was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Debtors' Relief.

Sir Rob. Nappiet reports from the Committee, to whom the Bill for Relief of poor Prisoners was referred, That one Mr. Christofer Lowman hath been summoned to attend the said Committee; but that he refused to attend: And that he hath Directions from the Committee to acquaint the House therewith.

Resolved, That the said Mr. Christopher Lowman be sent for in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, for such his Contempt.

Privilege.

This House being informed, That one Mr. Crouch, an Attorney at Law, hath delivered Declarations of Ejectment, at the Suit of one John Walter, for Lands in the Possession of Sir John Doyley, a Member of this House; and that the said John Walter hath owned the Suit; and threatens to proceed therein, in Breach of the Privilege of this House.

Ordered, That the said Mr. Crouch and John Walter, be sent for in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, for such their Breach of the Privileges.

Ditto.

The House being informed, that one Joshua Woodman hath served Colonel Sackvile, a Member of this House, with a Subpæna, to appear to a Bill in the Court of Chancery, in Breach of the Privileges of this House.

Ordered, That the said Joshua Woodman be sent for in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, for such his Breach of the Privileges.

Bathurst's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill, sent down from the Lords, intituled, An Act to enable Theodore Bathurst to make a Jointure for his Wife, and to charge Monies on Part of his Estate in Yorkshire, was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Exporting Beer, &c.

Sir Francis Russell reports from the Committee, to whom the Bill for Exportation of Beer, Ale, and Mum, was referred; and to whom it was given as an Instruction to insert in the Bill, That Cyder also might be transported; That the Committee had inserted the same, and had thought fit to make some other Amendments to the Bill: The which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were Once read throughout; and afterwards, a Second Time, one by one; and, upon the Question severally put thereupon, with an Amendment made at the Table, of "Three-pence per Tun," instead of, "Twelve-pence per Tun," to be allowed to Officers, agreed unto by the House.

Ordered, That the Bill, so amended, be ingrossed.

Exporting Bread and Bisquet.

Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill for Exporting Bread and Bisquet to the Plantations.

Order for taking into Custody suspended.

Ordered, That the Order for taking Mr. Christopher Lowman into Custody, be suspended, in case he do attend the Committee for Relief of poor Prisoners, this Afternoon.

Irish Affairs.

Resolved, That a Committee be appointed to inquire who has been the Occasion of the Delays in sending Relief over into Ireland, and particularly to Londonderry.

And it is referred to Mr. Coninsby, Sir Hen. Capell, Mr. Gwyn, Mr. Sacheverell, Sir Rob. Howard, Sir Cha. Raleigh, Mr. Leveson Gowre, Colonel Whitley, Sir Jos. Tredenham, Mr. Howard, Sir Fra. Russell, Colonel Babington, Mr. Colt, Sir Rob. Clayton, Mr. Sommers, Sir Wm. Ashurst, Sir Wm. Harbord, Sir Hen. Ashurst, Sir Wm. Ellis, Sir Ch. Montague, Sir Christ. Musgrave, Mr. Garway, Mr. Hamden, Sir Patience Ward, Sir. Thom. Littleton, Mr. Chetwyn, Mr. Boscowen, Mr. Papillion, Sir Tho. Clarges, Lord Pawlet, Mr. Smith, Mr. St. Johns, Mr. How, Sir Trevor Williams, Colonel Birch, Mr. Holt, Sir Edward Harley, Mr. Stockdale, Marquis Winchester, Mr. Paul Foley, Mr. Hen. Herbert, Mr. Gerrard: And they are to meet this Afternoon, at Four of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber: And are impowered to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Removal of impeached persons.

A Motion being made, That an Address be presented to his Majesty, to remove from his Presence and Counsels such Persons as have been impeached in Parliament;

A Debate arose thereupon.

Resolved, That the Debate be adjourned until Monday Morning next.

Supply Bill; Land Tax.

Then the House resolved into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed in the further Consideration of the Bill for granting a Subsidy to their Majesties.

Proceedings upon Conferences.

Ordered, That Sir Thom. Lee, Colonel Birch, Mr. Hamden, Mr. Solicitor General, Mr. Sacheverell, Sir John Jennings, Sir Hen. Capell, Sir John Thompson, Sir Christoph. Musgrave, do inspect the Journals of the House of Lords, and the Journals of this House, relating to the Order of Proceedings upon Conferences in passing of Bills.

Irish Affairs.

Resolved, That it be an Instruction to the Committee, appointed to inquire who has been the Occasion of the Delays in sending Relief over into Ireland, and particularly to Londonderry, that they make Inquiry what Default was, in relation to the Provisions that went over with the Soldiers for Ireland: And also that they make a particular Inquiry into the Carriage of Colonel Lundee, Colonel Richards, and Colonel Coningham; and to know the Reason, why the Relief sent to Londonderry was brought back again: And also, that they inquire into all other Miscarriages relating to Ireland and Londonderry.

And then the House adjourned till Monday Morning, Nine a Clock.
