Sept. 7, forenoon. Whitehall Treasury Chambers. Present: ut supra.
[My Lord directs the issue to the Treasurer of the Navy of] 9,465l. 7s. 5d. for the Victuallers for bills of exchange, necessary money and extra necessary money and short allowance money: to be issued out of the last payment to be made by the Bank [of their 400,000l. under the Act 7 Anne c. 30]. Sept. 8, forenoon. Present: ut supra.
The Governor and several of the Directors of the Bank are called in. My Lord recommends it to the Bank of England to agree to the circulation of more Exchequer Bills for 612,739l. pursuant to the clause [22] in the Act [7 Anne c. 30] of the last session.
A paper is read to that effect and is put into the hands of the Governor.
They [say they] will consider and acquaint my Lord with their resolution. Ibid., p. 51.
Sept. 14, forenoon. Present: Lord Treasurer.
The Auditors of Imprests are to attend next Wednesday morning about the accounts of Mr. Brydges and Mr. Fox.
[My Lord directs] 1,500l. to Mr. Compton for bills of exchange drawn for transporting divers of the Palatines from Holland to England.
[Likewise] 10,000l. to the Treasurer of the Navy for wages and 10,000l. for bills of exchange.
Mr. Baker and Mr. Goslin are to attend next Wednesday morning and Mr. Brewer. Ibid., p. 52.

The Gentlemen of the Bank are called in. My Lord recommends to them to call a General Court and propose the circulation of 400,000l. [Exchequer Bills] as part of 612,739l. pursuant to the clause [22] in the Act [7 Anne c. 30] of last session. Ibid., p. 53.
Sept. 22, forenoon. Present: ut supra.
My Lord will speak with the Gentlemen of the Bank concerning the proposition brought by Sir Thomas Webster and Mr. Cotesworth concerning annuities and reversionary annuities: and if the Bank has no objection my Lord will consent to it “his lordship having none [objection] but on behalf of the Bank.”
Auditor Mainwaring and Mr. Moody the deputy of Auditor Harley is called in. The Auditor's report concerning Mr. Fox's final account is read. The Auditors are directed to prepare the draft of a privy seal accordingly. The report is delivered to Mr. Moody.
Then their report concerning the first half year's account of Mr. Bridges is read and the like direction given. But the accounts for Flanders are to be separate from those of Spain and Portugal.
[My Lord orders that] 6,000l. of the [Prize] money in Mr. Brewer's hands be paid into the Exchequer.
[My Lord directs] 5,000l. to Mr. Compton on the unsatisfied order in his name for such uses as her Majesty hath directed. Treasury Minute Book XVII, p. 54.
