To Melerus de Burgo, canon and treasurer of Limerick. Collation and provision to him, who is by both parents of noble birth and in his twenty-third year, and who holds a canonry and prebend of Limerick, value 16 marks sterling, of the treasurership of Limerick, a non-major dignity with cure, value 60 marks sterling, void at the apostolic see by the death there of Gilbert Hartor, and therefore reserved; whether so void, or still void by the promotion by papal authority of Thomas, bishop of Limerick to that church, [Cal. Papal Lett., XII., p. 694] and his consecration, or by the resignation of the said bishop, or of the said Gilbert, or of Philip Yloryn or other, or void in any other way. The pope hereby specially dispenses him to receive and retain for life with the said treasurership the rectory of Dyregellyuayn in the said diocese, provision of which the pope has this day by other letters ordered to be made to him [see above p. 30], or, instead of the said two benefices any two other benefices with cure or otherwise incompatible, even if two parish churches, etc. or dignities, etc., and to resign them, simply or for exchange, as often as he pleases. Nobilitas generis, vite etc.
