3 Sixtus IV.

De Beneficiis Vacantibus.

1474.
5 Kal. April.
(28 March.)
St. Peter's, Rome.
(f. 26r.)
To Dermit Okeli, a canon of Killaloe (Laon[i]en.). Mandate to collate and assign to John Macorinayn, clerk, of the diocese of Killaloe, of noble birth by both parents, and in his twenty-first year, the rectory of Derunde in the diocese of Killaloe, without cure and value 3 marks sterling, void at the apostolic see, and therefore reserved, by Pius II's promotion of Matthew, bishop of Killaloe, to that church [Cal. Papal Lett., XII. p. 187], and by his consecration at the apostolic see; and also the perpetual vicarage of Kylsernil in the same diocese, value 8 marks sterling, void by the death of Maurice Odamin extra R.c. The pope hereby specially dispenses him to receive and retain the said vicarage, notwithstanding the said defect, etc. Dignum arbitramur. (fn. 2) (At the end: A. xx. Expedita decimo Kal. Marcii anno tertio. de Petra.) [3⅓ pp.]

De Dignitatibus Vacantibus.

1473.
12 Kal. Oct.
(20 Sept.)
St. Peter's, Rome.
(f. 279r.)
To the archdeacon of Ardfert. Mandate, as below. The recent petition of Patrick Fismoris, clerk, of the diocese of Ardfert, contained that on the voidance of the precentorship of Ardfert by the death of Maurice Fismoris extra R.c., John, bishop of Ardfert, made collation and provision of it, which has cure, to the said Patrick, then in or about his twenty-second year, without his having obtained any dispensation therefor, under pretext of which collation and provision he obtained possession, and still holds it, but without taking any fruits therefrom. The said collation and provision being therefore without force, the pope hereby orders the above archdeacon to collate and assign the said precentorship, a non-major, non-elective dignity, value 12 marks sterling, to the said Patrick, who is still in the said year; whether it be still void as above, or by the death of John Fismoris extra R.c., or be void in any other way. He is hereby specially dispensed to hold it, notwithstanding the said defect of age. Dignum etc. (At the end: A. xxii. Septimo Kal. Novembris anno tertio. Garilliati.) [3½ pp.]
