To John Edmonston, clerk, of the diocese of Dunblane. Reservation to him, who is by both parents of noble and baronial birth (to compensate him for having consented, in order to avoid litigation with David Henrisoun, prior of St. Colmotus's, O.S.A., in the diocese of Dunblane, which each of them claimed, that David should remain in peaceable possession of the said priory, which the latter is therefore holding) of a yearly pension of 70 marks Scots, worth about 9l. sterling, on the fruits etc. of the said priory, the value of which does not exceed 50l. sterling, to be paid by the said David (who has consented by his proctor, Giles Boys, precentor of Moray) and by his successors, half at Pentecost and half at St. Martin's in November, in the city of Dunblane; with the usual sanctions for non-payment. To the abbot of St. John the Evangelist's, Gill abbey (de Antro Sancti Finnbarri), in the diocese of Cork, and Peter Pardo and Peter de Gyenenes, canons of Burgos (Burgen.) and Avila (Abulen.), respectively. (fn. 1) Mandate to collate and assign to Donatus Ocionyn (?), priest, of the diocese of Cloyne (Clonen.), the perpetual vicarage of Achadfinach in the said diocese, value 6 marks sterling, to which he was presented by the patron, Thady Macharyg, temporal lord of the place of Desmond (de Simonie, i.e. Desimonie) [in the said diocese], for institution by William, bishop of Cloyne (who was litigating about the possession of the said see against a certain adversary), who instituted him, in virtue of which presentation and institution he obtained possession, but doubts whether, for the said reason, they hold good.
