To Henry, archbishop of Milan. Confirmation etc. as below. Lately the pope granted him divers faculties in aid of the Christian army against the Turks and other Infidels, and appointed him in the territory of the duke of Milan and in divers parts of Almain and England nuncio and orator of the pope and the apostolic see, with full power of a legate de latere. Seeing that the said faculties are said to expire on July 1 next, and his said legation to have expired by his coming to the [Roman] court or otherwise, the pope, in order that he may be able the better to carry out the visitation of his province, and that the said aid may be the greater, renews, confirms and prolongs, only in the province of Milan and the territory of Filippo Maria Anglus, duke of Milan, and until he has completed in the said province and territory the said visitation, his said legation and faculties, and commits to him anew his full power of a legate de latere. de Dudum fraternitati tue. To Thomas, Cistercian abbot of Morgan in the diocese of Llandaff. Indult that he and fit priests appointed by him may hear, once, the confessions of any of the monks of the said monastery in foro conscientie, and absolve them from all sins, etc., in all cases, even in cases reserved to the apostolic see, and from all sentences of excommunication etc., enjoining a salutary penance, dispense on account of irregularity, rehabilitate them, and commute simple vows, etc. Injunctum nobis. To John Brinke alias Dobeler, rector of Sourwell (sic) in the diocese of Winchester, B.C.L. Dispensation as below. Martin V (i) dispensed him to hold for a year with the parish church of Shorwell (also written Sorwell) in the said diocese another benefice with cure or otherwise incompatible, even if a parish church; (ii) after he had obtained the parish church of Wodington in the said diocese, successively prolonged the said dispensation, when about to expire, by three, two and seven years, during which he could resign the said two churches, simply or for exchange, as often as he pleased [see Cal. Lett. VII, pp. 155, 566]. At his recent petition, containing that having resigned Wodington he has obtained Hampton Bishop in the diocese of Worcester, and is holding it with Shorwell, the value of each not exceeding 40 marks sterling, the pope hereby dispenses him (who is past his sixtieth year, holds a canonry of [Alt] Sanct Paul, Mũnster, with one of the major prebends therein, a canonry of St. Davids with a cursal prebend therein, the free chapel of Appuldeford in the diocese of Winchester, value not exceeding 10 marks of silver and 6 and 4 marks sterling respectively) to continue to hold together

To the abbot of St. Mary's, Lindores, in the diocese of St. Andrews, and the prior of St. Andrews. Mandate—the pope having received the complaint of James, bishop of St. Andrews, containing that although the Augustinian monastery of Scone in the diocese of St. Andrews was granted to him in commendam
by papal authority, to be held by him with the see of Dunkeld, which he then held, or with any other see to which he might be translated, and that although he obtained possession of the said monastery, nevertheless George Gardiner, a monk (sic) of Scone, who was under sentence of excommunication and alleged to be guilty of apostasy, had himself intruded by certain enemies of the said bishop—to summon the said George and all other detainers of the possessions of the see of St. Andrews and of the said monastery, and admonish them to make restitution, under pain of excommunication etc. Gravem venerabilis fratris.
