To William de Waltham. Provision of the rectory of Somersham, in the diocese of Lincoln, value not exceeding 95 marks, void by the death at the apostolic see of Adam, cardinal priest of St. Cecilia's, who held it by grant of the said see, and thereby reserved to the pope in accordance with his late reservation of benefices so void; notwithstanding that he holds the parish church of Algarkirk, in the diocese of Lincoln, and canonries and prebends in the monastery of the Benedictine nuns of Wilton, York, London and Salisbury, value altogether not exceeding 480 marks, and that he has lately had dispensation from the pope to hold two benefices with cure or otherwise incompatible, even if elective dignities, major or principal respectively, personatus or offices with cure in cathedral or collegiate churches, and to exchange them as often as seemed good to him for two similar or dissimilar incompatible benefices. Mandate to collate and assign to Florence Macmixcheartad (sic), canon of Ardagh, if found fit after the usual examination in Latin, the perpetual vicarage of Sraid Maigibreacrai in the same diocese, value not exceeding 14 marks, void by reason that the late John Ofergail when holding it obtained also the church of Tirsoelan or Tirfoelan in the same diocese, and held them together for several years without dispensation; notwithstanding that he has a canonry of Ardagh, without a prebend, from which he takes no fruits. Provision to him, who is in his twentyfirst year, of the rectory of Hecham in Suffolk (Sutfolfga), in the diocese of Norwich, value not exceeding 100 marks, void and therefore reserved to the pope by the resignation at the apostolic see, into the pope's hands, of Adam, cardinal priest of St. Cecilia's, who held it by grant of the said see; notwithstanding that he holds a canonry and prebend of St. George's in Velabro, Rome, value not exceeding 30 gold florins; has obtained a definitive sentence in his favour in the apostolic palace about a canonry and prebend of Dublin; and that the pope has lately ordered provision to be made to him of canonries and prebends of St. David's and Landeuribrevi in the diocese of St. David's, value together not exceeding 70 marks, of which he has not yet got possession, and of a benefice without cure in the common or several gift of the archbishop, dean and chapter, and each of the canons and persone
of York; and has made provision to him of a canonry of St. Servatius, Maestricht, in the diocese of Liege, with expectation of a prebend, dignity, personatus, or office, with or without cure, which last is upon his obtaining Hecham to be null as far as regards a dignity, personatus, or office with cure; notwithstanding also his defect of age, on account of which he has hereby dispensation.
