Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the enabling Abraham Barnewell to make a more ample Settlement of his Estate, for the Benefit of his Family; and to charge Part thereof for raising Portions for his Younger Children in his Life-time, and for Payment of his Debts."
The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.
Address upon the Queen's Speech.
The Earl of Abingdon reported from the Lords Committees, the Address of Thanks to Her Majesty, for Her most Gracious Speech.
Which was read; and, with an Amendment, agreed to by the House, as followeth; (videlicet,)
"We Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal Subjects, the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, do humbly beg Leave to assure Your Majesty, of the unspeakable Satisfaction we received, in the tender Care of Your Subjects, which Your Majesty was pleased to express in Your most Gracious Speech; especially in desiring to have those great Sums accounted for, which were raised to carry on the late War.
"Your unparalleled Goodness, in straitening Yourself for the Ease of Your People, must needs make the deepest Impression of Gratitude in the Hearts of all Your Subjects, and engage their utmost and most faithful Endeavours for Your Majesty's Service.
"Your Majesty may be assured, that we shall apply ourselves with the utmost Diligence to the Dispatch of what remains necessary to be done, for the Support of Your Majesty and Your Government."
ORDERED, That the Lord President do attend Her Majesty, humbly to know what Time Her Majesty will be pleased to appoint for this House to attend Her with the Address.
E Abingdon's and Gour's Bills.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Committee appointed to consider of the Earl of Abingdon's Bill, which was to have met the Eighth Day of April next, do meet To-morrow, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon; and that the Committee appointed to consider of Mr. Gour's Bill do meet on Thursday next, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon.
Soame's Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for Sale of Part of the Estate of Stephen Soame Gentleman and Dorothy his Wife; and for applying the Monies raised thereby for Payment of his Debts, and for the Portions of Mary and William Soame, Two of their Younger Children."
ORDERED, That the Consideration of the said Bill be referred to the same Committee to whom the Earl of Abingdon's Bill stands committed; who are to meet on Thursday next.
Worcester College Bill.

Pawlet's Bill.
The Lord Viscount Longueville reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting the Lands of Henry Pawlet, a Lunatic, in Trustees, in order to make a suitable Provision for him, his next Heir, and next Relations," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.
Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.
Gold and Silver Thread, Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for continuing and amending the Act made in the Eighth Year of His late Majesty's Reign, intituled, An Act for the settling and adjusting the Proportions of fine Silver and Silk, and for the better making of Gold and Silver Thread, and to prevent the Abuses of the Wire-drawers."
ORDERED, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the Lords following; (videlicet,)
Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Thursday the Ninth Day of April next, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

Upon reading the Petition of Elizabeth Bampfyld, the Widow of Lewis Bampfyld deceased, Defendant in a Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein Sir John Rolle is Plaintiff; praying a Day may be appointed for hearing the Errors argued thereupon:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Errors argued, in this Case, on Thursday the Ninth Day of April next, at Eleven a Clock in the Forenoon.
