Petition against Priests, &c. and King's Answer, to be printed.

The Duke of Albemarle reported, "That himself and those Lords as were appointed with some Members of the House of Commons have waited on the King, and given Him Thanks, as they were directed; and His Majesty hath given Order for the Printing and Publishing those Papers as were desired might be printed."

Petition of Officers Widows.

A Petition from divers Widows, whose Husbands had served the King, and were slain in the late Wars, was read; desiring, "some voluntary Contribution for their Subsistence from their Lordships, as they have had from the House of Commons."

Forrester's Petition, about repairing Highways, &c.

Upon reading the Petition of Abraham Forrester, concerning a new Invention for repairing of all the Highways in England, and the cleansing of the Streets and Highways about London and Westm.:

It is ORDERED, To be referred to the Committee appointed to consider of the Statute touching Highways, and for preventing the Stoppage in the Streets; and, having heard the Business, to make Report thereof to this House.

Sandys & al. Petition concerning the River Wye.

Upon reading the Petition of Windsor Sandys Esquire, James Pitson, and others concerned with and for them, and an of the Council Board, dated the 31th of October, 1662, concerning the River of Wye, in the County of Surrey, and the Navigation thereof:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Order with the whole Matter therein contained, are hereby referred to the Committee appointed for the Bill, intituled, "An Act to make Rivers navigable, in the Counties of Surrey, Sussex, and South'ton;" to hear all Parties concerned in the said Petition and Order, and to endeavour a Composure and Settling all Differences between them by a Mediation, so that, by a Consent of all Parties, a Bill may be framed and offered to this House accordingly.

And the Lord Viscount Mountagu and the Lord Berkley of Berkley are added to the said Committee.
