Harbin's Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act enabling John Harbin Esquire to settle and dispose of several Manors, Messuages, Lands, Tenements, and Hereditaments, with th' Appurtenances, in the County of Somersett and Dorsett, therein mentioned, for Payment of his Debts, and to make Provision for his Younger Children."

ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Bill is committed to the same Committee as the Bill for confirming Public Acts; to meet this Afternoon.

The Earl of Portland further reported from the same Committee, the Bill for naturalizing of Francis Brudnell, as fit to pass, with some Alterations and Additions; which, being read Twice, were Agreed unto: And it is ORDERED, That the said Bill be engrossed, with the Alterations and Additions now read.

Bill to vacate Sir E. Powel's Fines.

This Day the Counsel was heard, to sum up the Evidence in the Cause concerning the Bill for vacating the Fines levied by Sir Edward Powell and his Lady.

Ly. Dacres not allowed Privilege, having married a Commoner.

Upon the Report from the Committee of Privileges, to whom was referred the Consideration of the Lady Dacres' Petition to this House, claiming her Privilege of Parliament; and after Debate and Consideration hereof:

This House declared (having received the Opinion of all the Judges now present in Point of Law), That the Lady Dacrees, by marrying Mr. Chute a Commoner, hath forfeited and lost her Privilege of Peerage in Law: And it is ORDERED, That the Trial at Law do proceed, notwithstanding any Claim of Privilege by the said Lady Dacres.

Edney, Crofts, and Ogden, sent for, for sueing Warner and Love, Sheriffs, for releasing Bushel.

Upon the Petition of Francis Warner and William Love, late Sheriffs of the City of London and Middlesex; shewing, "That Mary Edny, one Crofts, and Ogden an Attorney, sued the Petitioners, for obeying an Order of this House, of the 17th of December, 1660, for giving Liberty to Mr. Thomas Bushell to attend the Lords in Parliament, until the Determination of his Cause depending before their Lordships; and the said Parties were sent for, to answer their Contempt; but, by the ending of the Parliament, the Order became void, to the Prejudice of the Petitioners, against whom there is Prosecution still at Law:"

It is ORDERED, That the said Edney, Crofts, and Ogden, shall be summoned to appear before this House within Three Days next after Notice given them to appear, to answer their Offence; else this House will take it for a Contempt.
