Upon Report of the Masters of the Chancery, to whom it was referred to examine the Bill concerning Satisfaction to be given to the Marquis of Winchester out of Mr. Wallop's Estate, which was lately brought from the House of Commons, with the other Bill which was rejected by this House this Parliament;
The Question being put, "Whether this Bill, brought up from the House of Commons, shall be read?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.
Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for Reparation and Satisfaction to be made unto John Lord St. John of Basing, Earl of Wilts, and Marquis of Winchester, out of the Manors and Lands of Robert Wallop Esquire, for the Sum of Ten Thousand Pounds, heretofore granted unto him, by the then pretended Parliament, out of the said Marquis of Winchester's Estate."
It is ORDERED, That Mr. Justice Tyrrell and Mr. Baron Turner do consider whether this Bill be contrary to the Act of Oblivion and Indemnity or not; and report their Opinions herein to this House on Monday Morning next.

Report concerning Penal Laws against Priests.
Next, this House took into Consideration the Report from the Committee concerning the Penal Laws against Priests and Recusants.
The Branch in the Statute of 5° Eliz. Cap. 1°, for making it High Treason for refusing the Oath of Supremacy, was read.
And, after some Debate, it is ORDERED, To be referred to a Committee, to peruse the whole Statute of 5° Eliz. Cap. 1°; and to consider what Part thereof they think fit to be repealed, and to report the same to this House.
Next, was read the Statute of 13° Eliz. Cap. 2.
And, upon Consideration thereof, it is ORDERED, To stand as it is, without any Alteration.
Also the Statute of 23 Eliz. was read.
And ORDERED, To stand as it is.
