Royal letter under the King's sign manual dated Hampton Court
to Col. Nicholson [Lieut. and Govr. General of Virginia], to pay
what remains in arrear to Sir Edmund Andros for salary or house
rent as Governor in Chief of Virginia; same to be satisfied out of
the 2s. per hogshead on tobacco exported from said colony; the
said Andros having petitioned the King shewing that the arrears
due to him upon accompt of his salary and otherwise as late Governor
of said Colony amount to 1487l. 6s. 3d.; on which petition William
Blathwayt has reported April 4 last confirming same: and further the
King having considered the said Nicholson's letter of Jan. 10 last
