June 27 Treasurer Osborne's warrant to the Receipt for tallies of loan to be levied in the Exchequer for 4,000l., which Peter Calvert, Samuel Vincent and Edmund Bostocke have agreed to lend to His Majesty : and to issue said sum to the Treasurer of the Navy for the use of the Sick and Wounded. Same of same, dated 1673, June, of a grant to Elizabeth Hamilton of the yearly rent or sum of 850l. and 500l. per an. ut supra, p. 163 : all in consideration of her surrender of the like pension of 850l. per an., payable to her late husband, James Hamilton, late one of the Grooms of the Bedchamber ; and of 500l. to herself. June 30 Privy seal for 11,289l. 2s. 0d. to the Countess of Falmouth, with 6 per cent. interest from Mar. 25 last, for the purchase by the King (in accordance with the royal warrant of April 1 last) of the several leases claimed by said Countess in the mansion house of Grafton and the demesaes there called Grafton Pastures, and the messuage and lands called More End farm and the demesne lands of the manor of Greens Norton and other lands by the King granted to the late Earl of Falmouth. Treasurer Osborne's warrant to the Receipt to pay to Sir Edward Griffin 6,372l. on orders remaining in his hands as Treasurer of the Chamber, in full of 11,000l. : the same having been lent into the Receipt by said Griffin is to be repaid to him by orders to be drawn on the third quarter of the Eighteen Months' assessment.
