E. Lincoln versus Roll & al.
Whereas Tuesday the First Day of December next was appointed for hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Henry Earl of Lincoln, an Infant, by Susanna Countess of Lincoln, his Mother and Prochein Amy; as also upon the Answers of Sam'l Rolle, Vere Booth, Hugh Fortescue and Bridget his Wife, Richard Wynne, Christopher Davenport, and George Townshend, put in thereunto:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Counsel shall be heard, upon the said Petition and Answers, on Tuesday the Eighth Day of December next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
Low Wines, &c. Bill to explain the Act for Duties on, and to prevent Frauds in Brewers, &c.
Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to explain that Part of the Act passed the last Session of Parliament, for laying several Duties on Low Wines and Spirits of the First Extraction, and for preventing the Frauds and Abuses of Brewers, Distillers, and other Persons chargeable with the Duties of Excise, which relates to the Payment of Tallies, and the Interest thereof."
Coin, ill State of, Bill for further remedying.
Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the further remedying the ill State of the Coin of the Kingdom."
ORDERED, That the said Bill be read the Second Time To-morrow Morning.
State of the Nation:
The House (according to Order) took into Consideration the State of the Nation.
Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee thereupon.
And, after some Time, the House was resumed.
And the Lord Ferrers reported several Heads agreed to by the Committee; in Pursuance whereof, the Orders following were made; (videlicet,)
State of the Fleet, Commissioners of the Admiralty to lay before the House;
"It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Commissioners of the Admiralty do lay before this House, on Wednesday the Second Day of December next, an Account, in Writing, what the Number and Condition of the Fleet is, either at Sea or in Harbour; and whether they conceive it sufficient for the Protection of England, Ireland, Trade, and the Plantations."
and Commissioners of Navy, a State of the Stores:
"It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Commissioners of the Navy Board do lay before this House, in Writing, on Wednesday the Second Day of December next, an Account of the Stores:"
Sir George Rooke, to lay his Instructions, &c. before the House:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Sir George Rooke do lay before this House, on Wednesday the Second Day of December next, Copies of all the Orders he received for the Command and Conduct of that Squadron sent to Cadiz, and all Letters and Papers relating to that Expedition, from the Time of his First Orders, until he left the Command of the Fleet; with the Times and Places when he respectively received the same."
Orders from the Admiralty to the Fleet, to be laid before the House:
"It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Commissioners of the Admiralty do lay before this House, on Wednesday the Second Day of December next, Copies of all Orders sent by them to the main Fleet this Year, until the Lord Berkeley went to the Fleet."
State of the Nation.
"It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That, on Wednesday the Second Day of December next, this House shall be put into a Committee again, to consider farther of the State of the Nation."
Adjourn.
