Royal sign manual for a great seal for a commission to Richard Earl of Dorset, and William Earl of Craven, Sir Thomas Osborne, Sir Thomas Littleton, Sir Charles Wheeler, Edmond Warcup, and John Kirk to examine Richard Pight, gent., or any other concerning such concealed money, bullion, plate, jewels, lands and tenements as they can discover, with power to receive said plate &c. and to compound with any persons charged therewith, subject to the consent of the Treasury Lords: allowing to the said Pight a third of the recoveries made on several discoveries of prize goods and other concealments as entered by him in pursuance of the royal Commission of 1660, July 31, and a third of all discoveries he shall make within one month from date hereof: the said Pight being confident of making considerable discoveries of other concealments. Thomas Howard for half a year to Lady day last, on his salary as Lieutenant of the Yeomen of the Guard, in full satisfaction of his arrears in that employ from 1668, Aug. 12, to the last establishment of said Guard: he having prayed only the said sum and agreed to accept same as in full satisfaction as above. Privy seal for 62,915l. 19s. 4d. to Sir William Bucknall and the rest of the Farmers of the Excise of London, Middlesex and Surrey, and of the five counties of Kent. Privy seal for 1,050l. to Thomas Killegrew due to him for several plays "acted before us and our royal consort the Queen by our comedians at our Court at Whitehall and at the theaters from the 31st of March, 1662, unto the 20th of November instant," said sum having been appointed to be paid him by the Treasurer of the Chamber by warrant from the Chamberlain of the Household, but not having been so paid is now ordered to be paid out of the Receipt.
