Barret's alias Lennard's Bill.

The Lord North reported from the Commitee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Dacres Barret, alias Lennard, Esquire, to charge the Reversion of his Estate in England with the Sum of Fifteen Hundred Pounds," with some Amendments.

Which were read Twice, and agreed to.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to enable Dacres Barret, alias Lennard, Esquire, to charge the Reversion of his Estate in England with the Sum of Fifteen Hundred Pounds."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass into a Law?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Miles Cocke and Sir John Francklin:

To acquaint them, that the House hath passed the said Bill, with some Amendments; and to desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Aid to Their Majesties, Bill.

Upon Report from the Committee of the whole House, of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for granting an Aid to Their Majesties, of the Sum of Sixteen Hundred Fifty-one Thousand Seven Hundred and Two Pounds, Eighteen Shillings," with some Amendments:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Bill shall be read the Third Time To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Message from H. C. that they agree to Barret's alias Leonard's Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Jonathan Jennings and others:

To return the Bill to enable Dacres Barret, alias Lennard, Esquire, to charge the Reversion of his Estate in England with the Sum of Fifteen Hundred Pounds, sent down with some Amendments made by the Lords; (fn. 1) which Amendments the Commons have agreed to.

Ly. Halford to attend about the E. of Salisbury's Bill.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lady Frances Halford be, and is hereby, required to attend this House this Morning, to be sworn at the Bar, in order to be examined To-morrow, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers, by the Lords Committees appointed to consider of the Bill, intituled, "An Act to prevent the cutting off the "Entail of the Earl of Salisburye's Estate;" and hereof she may not fail, as the contrary will be answered to this House at her Peril.

Rowe versus Gwynnes.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Cause wherein Anthony Rowe Esquire is Plaintiff, and Dorcas and Rees Gwynne are Defendants, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Thursday the 13th Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Ly. Halford refuses to admit the Officer with the Order.

The House being informed, upon Oath, "That the Lady Frances Halford refused to admit Mr. Dolbin into her Presence, with the Order of this House for summoning her to attend this Morning:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod do presently attend the Lady Frances Halford, with the Order of this House, for her coming to the Bar this Morning, to be sworn, pursuant to the said Order; and that if she shall be disabled so to do by Sickness, that then she send a Physician to testify her Disability upon Oath; and hereof she may not fail.

Lords Commissioners heard on the Bill for reforming Abuses in the Court of Chancery.

After having this Day heard Sir William Rawlinson, One of the Lords Commissioners of the Great Seal of England, concerning the Bill, intituled, "An Act for regulating several Abuses in the Court of Chancery, and other Courts of Equity;" Their Majesties Counsel, then at the Bar, desiring that they may have a Copy of the said Bill, and may be heard thereto on Their Majesties Behalf:

King's Counsel to be heard on it.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That they may have a Copy of the said Bill; and shall be heard at the Bar, concerning the same, on Monday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Dutchess of Albemarle versus E. of Bath.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will further hear the Counsel for the Dutchess of Albermarle; as also Counsel for the Right Honourable John Earl of Bath, on Tuesday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, as to the Reasonableness of the Earl of Bath's having further Time allowed to examine Witnesses; and whether Witnesses may be examined in the Prerogative Court to other Points than were before the Delegates.

ORDERED, That the Lord Cholmondley be added to all the Standing Committees of the House.

Ly. Halford refuses the Black Rod Admittance, and to obey the Order for Attendance.

The House being informed, upon Oath, by Sir Tho. Duppa, "That he had attended at the Lady Frances Halford's Lodgings with their Lordships Order; but could not be admitted to speak with her; the Woman told him, she was not in a Condition to speak with any Man. He sent up both the Orders; and was told, she had read them; but could not attend their Lordships."

The Consideration of which Business was respited until To-morrow.

Adjourn.
