PRAYERS.

Marq. de Halyfax Speaker pro Tempore.

England to be attached, for threatening the Constable who stopped his Drays.

Information being given to this House, upon Oath, "That Mr. John England Brewer, in Kingstreat, Westm. hath threatened the Constable, for stopping Drays and Carts, pursuant to the Order of this House; and said, he did not care for the said Order:"

It is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House, his Deputy or Deputies, do forthwith attach the Body of the said John England, and bring him in safe Custody to the Bar of this House, to answer for his said Offence; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

To Sir Thomas Duppa, Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, his Deputy or Deputies, and every of them.

The Earl of Stamford reported from the Committee, the Form of an Address to be presented to His Majesty from this House, concerning the Lord Griffin.

Which was read, as follows:

Address to the King, to issue a Proclamation for Ld. Griffin to appear.

"Whereas Edward Lord Griffin having been summoned, by several Letters and otherwise, to attend this House; but he, being withdrawn from his Houses, doth not appear: We, Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal Subjects, the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, do most humbly beseech Your Majesty to issue forth Your Royal Proclamation, to summon the said Lord Griffin to render himself (at a certain Day which Your Majesty shall think fit to appoint) to this House if then actually sitting, or to One of Your Majesty's Principal Secretaries of State if the House be not sitting, upon Pain of incurring such Penalties as the Law shall inflict in Case of Neglect or Contempt of Your Majesty's Royal Proclamation."

The House agreed to this Address.

ORDERED, That the Right Honourable the Earls of Stamford and Maclesfeld do attend His Majesty, from this House, with the Address for issuing a Proclamation for summoning the Lord Griffin.

Militia Bill.

The House resumed the Consideration as was Yesterday, of the Amendments made by the Committee for the Bill concerning the ordering of the Forces in the several Counties of this Kingdom.

The Amendments were read, and debated, and Alterations made in several of them; and the Bill is ordered to be re-committed to the same Committee, upon the Debate, as was in the House.

Petyt to report, concerning Delays of Judgement.

Mr. Petyt was called in; and told, "That the House did expect he should be ready, with what Speed he can, to give this House an Account of what is required of him."

Adjourn.

Marq. de Halyfax, Orator Procerum pro Tempore, declaravit præsens Parliamentum continuandum esse usque in diem Lunæ, videlicet, 5um diem instantis Augusti, hora decima Aurora, Dominis sic decernentibus.
