Bill to repeal the Act against multiplying Gold and Silver.
The Lord Paget reported, "That the Committee had considered the Bill for repealing the Statute made in the Fifth Year of King Hen. IVth, against multiplying Gold and Silver; and their Opinion is, That it is fit to pass as it is, without any Amendment."
Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for repealing the Statute made in the 5th Year of King Henry the IVth, against multiplying Gold and Silver."
The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass for a Law?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.
Message to H. C. that the Lords have passed it; and to desire a Conference on the Attainder Bill.
A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Mr. Meredith:
To acquaint them, that the Lords have passed the Bill for repealing the Statute of the 5th of King Henry the IVth, against multiplying Gold and Silver.
2. To desire a present Conference, in the Painted Chamber, concerning the Subject-matter of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for attainting several Persons now in Rebellion against Their Majesties."
Hutchins, for scandal against Ld. Morley.
Whereas Henry Hutchins was this Day brought to the Bar of this House, by the Gentleman Usher, in whose Custody he was, for having spoken very scandalous and reflecting Words against the Lord Morley and Mounteagle, a Peer of this Realm; where he asked Pardon of the House for his Offence, and was reprehended for the same:
It is ORDERED, That the said Henry Hutchins be, and is hereby, discharged, paying his Fees; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.
To Sir Thomas Duppa, Gentleman Usher, and his Deputy and Deputies, and every of them.
Sir Ar. Roydon & al. to be examined by the Committee for examining Miscarriages in Ireland.
ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Sir Arthur Royden, Edward Hansard, Captain John Wynne, Captain George Dunbar, Mr. Daniell Steward, Mr. Thomas Spaith, Mr. Alexander Erwin, Captain John Dunbar, Captain Warham Jemitt, Captain Robert Rosse, Captain John Craven, Captain John Osborne, John Davis Esquire, Mr. Hugh Hamilton, and Mr. William Annesley, do attend this House To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, to be sworn, in order to their being examined at the Committee for inspecting the Miscarriages of Ireland.

The Lord Cornwallis reported, "That the Committee have considered the Bill for the better ordering the several Forces of this Kingdom; and have made Amendments, which they offer to the Consideration of the House."
The Amendments were most of them read; and the Remainder of them is to be resumed To-morrow Morning.
