PRAYERS.

Haslington Bill.

The Lord Holles reported, "That the Committee have considered the Bill for erecting the Manor or Lordship of Haslington, in the County of Chester, into a Parish; and think fit to make some Amendments, which are offered to the Consideration of this House."

The said Amendments, being read Twice, were Agreed to; and the Bill is ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Bill against maiming and wounding.

The House was adjourned into a Committee, to consider of the Bill to prevent malicious maiming and wounding.

The House being resumed;

The Lord Ashley reported, "That the Committee of the House, appointed to consider of the Bill to prevent malicious maiming and wounding, have met; and the Lords Committees find it necessary to send for those Witnesses and Depositions upon which this Bill is grounded, before the passing of the Preamble; and that their Lordships do further desire, that this House would please to appoint another Day, when the Committee shall consider of this Bill again."

Whereupon this House ORDERED, That the Committee of the whole House shall consider further of this Bill To-morrow Morning; and that William Wilkes, Miles Hodson, Ellis Jones, Sara Warner, James Molins, Edward Hughes, Francis Etherton, John Armeson, Thomas Hooper, Redmand Holland, and George Browne, be, and are hereby, required to appear at the Bar of this House To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, at which Time the Depositions taken before any of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace, concerning the wounding and robbing of Sir John Coventry Knight of the Honourable Order of the Bath, and William Wilkes his Servant, shall be brought into this House, by such Persons in whose Custody they now remain.

The Lord Chamberlain and the Lord Wharton are added to the Committee for the Bill for examining the Accompts of the Money given to the Poor in the Time of the last Plague and the Fire in the City of London.
