The Question was put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendments, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Fines of ancient Demesne Lands, Bill:

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Bromley and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Sir Thomas Wagstaff Knight to raise and secure a Portion for Frances his only Daughter and Heir Apparent;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the same, with some Amendments, whereunto they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Which Amendments, being read Three Times, were agreed to; and ORDERED, That the Commons have Notice thereof.

Seamen, Increase and Encouragement of, Bill.

The Earl of Rochester reported from the Committee, to whom was referred the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Increase and Encouragement of Seamen:"

"That the Committee find Difficulties in the Case, and therefore desire the House would take it into their own Consideration."

Whereupon it was ORDERED, That the House shall be put into a Committee upon the said Bill on Monday next, at Eleven of the Clock.

Jones versus Shakerley.

Upon reading the Petition of Hugh Jones Junior; praying a Day may be appointed for hearing of his Appeal depending in this House, to which Hugh Jones Senior and Sir Jeffrey Shakerley are Respondents:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Tuesday the Four and Twentieth Day of this Instant March, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Sir T. Clarke versus Cary, in Error.

Whereas Sir Talbot Clarke brought a Writ of Error into this House on the Tenth Instant, to which John Cary is Defendant; and hath not 'signed Errors thereupon, as by the Rules of this House he ought to do:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Sir Talbot Clarke shall 'sign Errors, upon the said Writ of Error, on or before Monday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and in Default thereof, the said Writ of Error shall be remitted.

Berrington versus Mason.

The House being this Day moved, "That Thomas Berrington may have some Time longer allowed him, for answering to the Petition of Dodington Mason:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Thomas Berrington hath hereby Time allowed him, for answering thereunto, until Tuesday the Seventh Day of April next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Quakers Bill.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Bill, intituled, An Act that the solemn Affirmation and Declaration of the People called Quakers shall be accepted instead of an Oath," shall be read the Second Time on Wednesday next, at Eleven of the Clock; and all the Lords summoned to attend.

Juries, for better regulating, &c. Bill.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the House shall be put into a Committee, upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Ease of Jurors, and better regulating of Juries," on Wednesday next, at Eleven of the Clock.

Ecclesiastical Courts, Bill.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better regulating of Proceedings in the Ecclesiastical Courts."

After some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Bridgewater reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill, with some Amendments."

Which, being read Twice, were agreed to; and ORDERED, That the said Bill be engrossed.
