Swayne versus Middleton's Executors, in Error.

Upon reading the Petition of William Fawkner and John Lane; praying, "That they may have further Time allowed them, for joining Issue upon the Errors assigned upon a Writ of Error brought into this House by Bennet Swayne:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners have hereby Time allowed them, for joining Issue thereupon, until Wednesday the Five and Twentieth Day of this Instant March, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Plantation Trade, to prevent Frauds in, Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for preventing Frauds and regulating Abuses in the Plantation Trade."

ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Tuesday next.

Ecclesiastical Courts, Bill:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the better regulating of Proceedings in the Ecclesiastical Courts."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir John Hoskyns and Sir Rich'd Holford:

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Lucy versus Bp. St. David's, for Waiver of Privilege, concerning Articles against him before the Archbishop.

The House, pursuant to the Order of the Eighteenth Instant, resumed the Consideration of the Report from the Lords Committees for Privileges, upon the Petition of Robert Lucy Esquire; praying, "That the Lord Bishop of St. David's might not insist upon his Privilege, in Reference to some Articles preferred against him to the Lord Archbishop of Canterbury."

And, after some Time spent in Debate thereof, it being proposed, "That, if the Petition of Robert Lucy was dismissed, the Bishop of St. David's would waive his Privilege:"

Upon which, the following Order was made; (videlicet,)

"It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petition of Robert Lucy Esquire, now depending in this House, shall be, and is hereby, dismissed."

And the Lord Bishop of St. David's declared, "He would waive his Privilege."

Mutiny Bills.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for continuing several former Acts for punishing Officers and Soldiers, who shall mutiny, or desert His Majesty's Service, and for punishing false Musters, and for Payment of Quarters for One Year longer."

Bp. Gloucester to preach on the Thanksgiving-day.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lord Bishop of Gloucester shall and he is hereby desired to preach before this House, in the Abbey Church at Westminster, on Thursday the Sixteenth Day of April next, being a Day appointed by His Majesty for a Public Thanksgiving to Almighty God, for the Delivery of this Kingdom from a horrid and traiterous Conspiracy to assassinate and murder His Majesty's Royal Person.
