PRAYERS.
Wilful Perjury, to make Felony, Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act, making wilful and corrupt Perjury, in certain Cases, to be Felony."
ORDERED, That the said Bill shall be committed to a Committee of the whole House, presently.
The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the said Bill.
After some Time, the House was resumed.
And the Lord Cornwallis reported, "That the Committee had made some Progress in the Bill; and desire another Day may be appointed, for them to proceed."
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House shall be put into a Committee, to proceed on the Bill, intituled, "An Act making wilful and corrupt Perjury, in certain Cases, to be Felony," on Tuesday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that all the Judges do then attend; and, in the mean Time, meet and consider what to propose, in order to quicken such Prosecutions as they apprehend may be discouraged, if Perjury be made Felony by this Act.
Adjourn.
