Hawley's Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting the Estate Real and Personal of Henry Hawley in Trustees, to be sold, or otherwise disposed of, for the Benefit of his Daughters and Heirs Susanna and Mary, who are both Minors."

E. of Carlisle, for giving Protections, submits.

The Earl of Carlisle acquainted the House, "That he had received the Order of this House, to give Reasons for his protecting Edward Howard; he acknowledged he was not his menial Servant, and ordered him to be struck out of the Protection-book."

King's Answer concerning Chief Baron.

The Earl of Oxford reported, "That he and the other Lords had waited on His Majesty, with the Address concerning the Lord Chief Baron Speaker: And His Majesty's Answer was, That His own Opinion was, That the Lord Chief Baron's Merit was great; and He would consider it."

Indemnity Bill.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee, to consider of Heads for a Bill of Indemnity.

And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Stamford reported, "That the Committee had made some Progress therein; and desire another Day may be appointed, for them to proceed therein."

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the House shall be put into a Committee, to proceed therein, To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and all the Lords summoned then to attend.
