Hurt versus Eyre and Attorney General of the Dutchy.
Upon reading the humble Petition and Appeal of Nicholas Hurt Esquire, and Elizabeth his Wife, Sister and Heir of John Low Esquire, deceased, who was Son and Heir of John Low, who was Son and Heir of Edward Low, from a Decree made in the Court of the Dutchy of Lancaster, (fn. 2) in Their Majesties Dutchy Chamber at Westminster, in a Cause there depending, between the Attorney General of the said Dutchy, at the Relation of Thomas Eyre, Plaintiff, against George Nevill Esquire, then an Infant, by his Guardian, and the said John Low the Son, Defendants; which Decree was grounded on a former Decree made in the same Court, in a Cause there also depending between the Attorney General of the said Court Plaintiff, and the said Edward Low Defendant; and praying the Reversal of the said Decree; and that Edward Northey Esquire Their Majesties Attorney General of the Dutchy and Thomas Eyre may answer thereunto:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Edward Northey and Thomas Eyre may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and be, and they are hereby, required to put in their Answer or respective Answers thereunto, in Writing, on Wednesday the Thirtieth Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
Address, recommending L. C. Baron Atkyns to His Majesty's Favour.
The Earl of Bridgewater reported an Address drawn by the Committee, on Behalf of the Speaker.
Which was read, and agreed to; as followeth, (videlicet,)
"We, Your Majesty's most dutiful Subjects, the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, being very sensible of the great Diligence and Care with which the Lord Chief Baron has discharged the Office of Speaker of the House of Lords for above Three Years, which he has always preferred to his Health and all his private Occasions; we therefore think ourselves obliged in Justice to recommend him to Your Majesty; humbly desiring that he may have such Marks of Your Grace and Favour as may encourage him farther in Your Majesty's Service, which will likewise be a very great Satisfaction to this House."
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Earl of Oxford, the Earl of Bridgewater, and the Earl of Maclesfeild, do attend His Majesty, with the Address of this House, on the Behalf of the Lord Chief Baron Atkins, now Speaker of this House.
Verdon versus Cooke.
Upon reading the Petition of Roger Coke and Anthony Freeston Esquire, Respondents to the Appeal depending in this House of Sarah Verdon and James Verdon; praying a Day may be appointed for hearing thereof.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Friday the Second Day of December next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that the Service of this Order upon the Appellants Sarah and James Verdon's Clerk in Chancery, shall be good Service.
Hale versus Dashwood.
Whereas Monday the Eight and Twentieth Instant is appointed for hearing the Cause wherein Thomas Hale is Appellant, and Sir Samuel Dashwood and others Respondents:
At the Request of both Sides, it is this Day ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Thursday the First Day of December next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Pawlin versus Whitaker.
Upon reading the Petition of William Pawlin and William Loggin; shewing (amongst other Things), "That, after Mr. Whitaker had appealed to this House the Eight and Twentieth of November last, the House ordered that Mr. Whitaker should have an Accompt of the Estate of John Loggin in the Hands of the Petitioners; but the said Order not declaring the Times whereunto the said Accompts should relate, which must be settled before the Accompt can be taken; and that the Court of Chancery hath put off the Hearing of the Exceptions to a Master's Report, to the Intent that either Side might apply to this House for an Explanation of the said Order; and praying a Time for hearing Counsel upon the Matters in the said Petition:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Edward Whitaker may have a Copy of the said Petition; and be, and he is hereby, required to put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Wednesday the Thirtieth Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

The Lord Keveton acquainted the House, "That he had received the Order for his Attendance, to give Reasons for his Protections; and said, he did not know the Order of the House, and that he had given several, but would give no more; and desired they might be all struck out of (fn. 3) the Book of Protections."
