PRAYERS.

Cheyney's Wardship.

RESOLVED, &c. That Mr. Charles Cheyney, Son and Heir of * Cheyney Esquire, shall be discharged and exempted from Wardship, and from all Charges rising either by Body or Land; the Father presently paying down Five hundred Pounds, to be employed for the Benefit and Advantage of the Forces sent, and to be sent, into Oxfordshire: And it is referred to Mr. Lane and Mr. Whitelock to prepare an Ordinance to his Effect.

Irish Agents.

Ordered, That the rest of the Agents for the Protestants in Ireland, lately come to Town, be referred to Mr. Reynolds, Mr. Jephson, Lord Lisle, and Sir Jo. Clotworthy, in like manner as Captain Parsons was referred on Saturday, Junii 1 1644. They are likewise to attend the Committee of both Kingdoms, in like manner as Captain Parsons was then appointed.

Savile's Wardship.

Resolved, &c. That the Wardship of the Heir of Sir Wm. Savile shall be bestowed upon the Lord Wharton, by Patent under the Great Seal: And it is referred to Mr. Strode to prepare and bring in an Ordinance to this Purpose, with the Limitations and Conditions usual.

Interest on Loan.

Ordered, That the Interest due for the Thousand Pounds taken up for the Service of the Parliament, upon the Security of Sir John Dreyden, Sir Christ. Hatton, and Mr. Jo. Crew, be forthwith paid.

Money advanced by Members.

Mr. Maynard, Mr. Cage, Mr. Whitelock, Sir Tho. Widdrington, Sir Tho. Barrington, Mr. Wheeler, are appointed to state the Matter of the Engagement of any of the Members of this House, for Monies advanced by them for the Service of the Parliament, upon Perusal of the Statute of Four hundred thousand Pounds.

Excise of Flesh, &c.

An Ordinance for disengaging the Excise of Flesh and Salt from the Five thousand Pounds for Powder, was this Day read the First time.

Army.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth declare, that it is most convenient for Sir Wm. Waller to go into the West.

Resolved, &c. That the whole Business concerning the Lord General's and Sir Wm. Waller's Armies, together with this Declaration, be referred to the Committee of both Kingdoms.

Resolved, &c. That my Lord General shall be acquainted with this Order, and Declaration, by the Committee of both Kingdoms.

They are further to give Directions, that notwithstanding this, that the present Relief of Lyme, according to the last Directions in a Letter from both Houses, be not retarded.

Leicestershire.

Ordered, That Mr. Lisle do, To-morrow, make Report of the Business concerning Leicestershire.

Members discharged &c.

Resolved, &c. That Mr. Anth. Hungerford shall be forthwith discharged and disabled from being or sitting any longer a Member of this House during this Parliament, for deserting this Parliament.

Resolved, &c. That Mr. Anth. Hungerford shall be forthwith committed Prisoner to the Tower, to remain a Prisoner during the Pleasure of the House.

Cheny's Wardship.

An Ordinance for exempting and discharging of Mr. Charles Cheny, Son and Heir apparent of Mr. Francis Cheyney, from Wardship, was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon Question, committed unto Mr. Whitelock and Mr. Reynolds, and all the Lawyers of the House.

Hatcher's, &c. Commitment.

Resolved, &c. That Mr. John Hatcher be forthwith sent up in safe Custody: And that the Lord Grey do inform the House, of the Reasons of the Commitment of him, and others, committed by the said Lord Grey.
