Cochran versus Blair.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of William Cochran of Fergusley Esquire; complaining of Two several Interlocutors of the Lords of Session in Scotland, of the Tenth and Twentieth Days of February 1714, made on the Behalf of Bethia Blair, alias Hamilton; and praying, "That the same may be reversed, and the Petitioner otherwise relieved according to Justice and Equity:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Bethia Blair, alias Hamilton, may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and is hereby required to put in her Answer thereunto, in Writing, on or before Thursday the Ninth Day of January next.

Bp. of Durham versus Sir Henry Liddell.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of the Right Honourable Nathaniel Lord Crew, Lord Bishop of Durham; complaining of a Decree of the High Court of Chancery, made the Twenty-fourth Day of November 1716, and of several Orders and Proceedings, in a certain Cause there depending, wherein Sir Henry Liddell Baronet was Plaintiff, and the Appellant and Richard Stonebewer Gentleman were Defendants; and in a Cause upon a Bill of Review, brought in the said Court, to reverse the said Decree; and praying, "That the same may be reversed:"

It is Ordered, That the said Sir Henry Liddell may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and is hereby required to put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on or before Thursday the Nineteenth Day of this Instant December.

Account of prohibited East India Goods and Naval Stores, delivered.

The House being informed, "That some of the Commissioners of the Customs attended:"

They were called in.

And Sir Mathew Dudley, at the Bar, presented to the House several Papers, pursuant to some late Acts of Parliament.

And withdrew.

And the Titles of the said Papers were read, as follows:

"The Return of the Commissioners of the Customs, to the Right Honourable the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, with the Accounts of East India prohibited Goods and Naval Stores imported from Russia, from Michaelmas 1716, to Michaelmas 1717.

N° 1. An Account of the prohibited East India Goods remaining in the Warehouses at St. Hellens, at Michaelmas 1716; what brought in since that Time; what exported; as also what remained at Michaelmas 1717."

"2. An Account of the prohibited East India Goods remaining in the Warehouses at Leadenhall, at Michaelmas 1716; what brought in since that Time; what exported; as also what remained at Michaelmas 1717."

"3. An Account of the prohibited East India Goods remaining in the King's Warehouse at the Customhouse, at Michaelmas 1716; what brought in since that Time; what exported; as also what remained at Michaelmas 1717."

"4. An Account of the prohibited East India Goods remaining in the respective Warehouses of the Outports, at Michaelmas 1716; what brought in since that Time; what exported; as also what remained at Michaelmas 1717."

"5. An Account of Naval Stores imported from Russia, into the Port of London, from Michaelmas 1716, to Michaelmas 1717."

"6. An Account of Naval Stores imported from Russia into the Ports commonly called the Out-ports, from Michaelmas 1716, to Michaelmas 1717."

Draycot to make Proof of his being a Pauper.

A Petition of Edward Draycot Gentleman, was presented to the House, and read; praying (amongst other Things), "That he may be admitted to prosecute his Appeal in this House in Forma Pauperis; he having been admitted to prosecute his Suit in the same Manner in the Court below, from whence his Appeal is brought."

But no Proof of the Allegations of the said Petition being offered:

Ordered, That the said Petition do lie on the Table, in order for the Petitioner to have Liberty to prove the Allegations thereof; as also that he is now a Pauper.

Dagenham Breach; Treasurer's Accompt.

The House being informed, "That a Person from the Trustees, appointed by an Act of Parliament passed in the Twelfth Year of the Reign of Her late Majesty, for stopping the Breach in the Levels of Havering and Dagenham, in the County of Essex, was attending at the Door:"

He was called in.

And Mr. David Legrose, Secretary to the said Trustees, presented to the House, pursuant to the said Act of Parliament, a Paper, intituled, "Accompt of the Treasurer to the Trustees for Dagenham Breach, from Christmas 1716, to Michaelmas 1717."

And then he withdrew.

And the said Title was read.
