E. of Macclesfield's Attainder, to reverse, Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the reversing and making void the Attainder of Charles Earl of Macclesfield, deceased."
Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the Lords following; (videlicet,)
Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet this Afternoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.
Sir Alex. Rigby's Bill:
Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to discharge Sir Alexander Rigby Knight from his Imprisonment; and vest his Estate and Effects in Trustees, for the Benefit of his Creditors."
The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall "pass?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.
Message to H. C. that the Lords have agreed to it.
A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Browning and Mr. Dormer:
To acquaint them, that the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.
Papists to gister their Estates, &c. Bill.
Whereas this Day was appointed, for receiving the Report of the Amendments made by the Committee of the whole House to the Bill, intituled, "An Act to oblige Papists to register their Names and Real Estates:"
It is Ordered, That the Report of the Amendments made to the said Bill be received To-morrow.
Hackney Coaches, &c. Bill.
The House (according to Order) was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee, to consider further of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better regulating Hackney Coaches, Carts, Drays, Cars, and Waggons, within the Cities of London and Westm'r, and the Weekly Bills of Mortality; and for preventing Mischiefs occasioned by the Drivers riding upon such Carts, Drays, Cars, and Waggons."
And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.
And the Earl of Clarendon reported from the said Committee, "That they had gone through the Bill, and made several Amendments thereunto; which they had directed him to report, when the House will please to receive the same."
Ordered, That the said Report be received Tomorrow.
Peace of The Highlands, to secure, Bill:
Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the more effectual securing the Peace of The Highlands in Scotland."
The Question was put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendments, shall pass?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.
Message to H. C. with Amendments to it.
A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Browning and Mr. Dormer:
To acquaint them, that the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, with some Amendments, whereunto they desire their Concurrence.
Forster and Mackintosh's Attainder, Bill.
The House (according to Order) was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Attainder of Thomas Forster Junior Esquire and William Mackintosb Esquire (commonly called Brigadier Mackintosh) of High Treason."
And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.
And the Earl of Clarendon reported from the said Committee, "That they had gone through the Bill; and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."
E. Portland's Privilege: Robinson, his Tenant, arrested, &c.
A Complaint was made to the House, "That John Robinson, a Tenant of the Earl of Portland's, was arrested, at the Suit of John Aglionby Esquire, by John Nicholson a Bailiff; and that a Declaration had been delivered against the said Robinson, during the Time of Privilege of Parliament:"
And thereupon John Pattenson being called in, and examined, upon Oath, at the Bar, in relation to the said Complaint:
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of this Matter be referred to the Lords Committees for Privileges; whose Lordships are hereby directed to meet on Saturday Morning next, and report to the House; and that the Parties concerned in the said Complaint, who are in Town, do then attend the said Committee, in order to be examined touching the Matter thereof.
Adjourn.
