Indemnity Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to indemnify such Persons who have acted in Defence of His Majesty's Person and Government, and for the Preservation of the public Peace of this Kingdom, in and about the Time of the late unnatural Rebellion, from vexatious Suits and Prosecutions."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Wednesday next.

Cochineal Importation, Bill:

The Earl of Clarendon reported from the Committee of the whole House, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the free Importation of Cochineal, during the Time therein limited," was committed, the Amendment made by the Committee to the said Bill.

Which was read Twice, and agreed to.

Then the said Bill was read the Third Time.

And the Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass, with the Amendment?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with an Amendment to it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Meller and Mr. Orlebar:

To acquaint them, that the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, with One Amendment; to which their Lordships desire their Concurrence.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Mr. Secretary Stanhope and others:

With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Attainder of George Earl of Marischall, William Earl of Seaforth, James Earl of Southesque, James Earl of Panmuir, and others, of High Treason, unless they shall render themselves to Justice by a Day certain, therein mentioned;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Bribery in Elections, to prevent, Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the more effectual preventing the Abuses of Sheriffs and other Returning Officers, in not returning the Writs of Summons in due Time; and for preventing Bribery and Corruption in the Elections of Members to serve in Parliament."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Thursday next; and that the Judges do attend the Service of this House on that Occasion.

Colchester Woollen Manufacture, Bill:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for giving Liberty to Persons who have served their Apprenticeships to any Part of the Woollen Manufacture in Colchester to work at their said Trades, and at the making Baize, within the said Town."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Ordered, That the said Bill be read a Second Time on Friday next; and that such Persons as were examined as Witnesses before the House of Commons, in relation to the said Bill, do then attend this House.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for prolonging the Time for Persons to take the Oaths, pursuant to the Act for the further Security of His Majesty's Person and Government; and the Succession of the Crown in the Heirs of the late Princess Sophia, being Protestants; and for extinguishing the Hopes of the pretended Prince of Wales, and his open and secret Abettors."

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for continuing and making more effectual an Act passed in the Twelfth Year of Her late Majesty's Reign, intituled, An Act for repairing the Highway, or Road, from The Stones-end, in the Parish of St. Leonard, Shoreditch, in the County of Middlesex, to the furthermost Part of the Northern Road, in the Parish of Endfield, in the same County, next to the Parish of Cheshunt, in the County of Hertford."

"The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Grace to enter into a Recognizance for Reily.

Upon reading the Petition of James Reily Esquire and others; praying, "That Walter Grace, of the Parish of St. Anne's, in the County of Midd'x, Gentleman, may be admitted to enter into a Recognizance for them, on account of their Appeal depending in this House, they living in Ireland:"

It is Ordered, That the said Walter Grace may enter into a Recognizance for the Petitioners, as desired; provided no Objection appears to his Security.

Whereas To-morrow is appointed, for hearing the Cause wherein John Earl of Clanricarde is Appellant, and Geralde Burke Esquire, Respondent:

It is Ordered, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Tuesday next, at Eleven a Clock.
