PRAYERS.
Earl of Manchester was appointed by the House to be Speaker this Day.
Nonsuch Little Park, a Protection.
Ordered, That a Protection shall be granted, to protect the Little Park at Nonsuch, and the House, Lodges, Goods, Deer, and Horses, and other Cattle in the same, against the Violence of unruly Soldiers.
Heads for the Conference, about the Earl of Northumberland and Mr. Marten.
The Speaker read the Narrative concerning the Business of the Earl of Northumb. and Mr. Marten, for opening Letters directed to his Lordship, and the Breach of the Privileges of this House by that Fact, his Lordship being a Member of this House, and employed as a Public Person from both Houses to (fn. 1) treat with His Majesty at Oxford; for which their Lordships expect Reparation.
The House approved of this Narrative.
The House of Commons being ready for a Conference, this House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the Lords went to the Conference; which being ended, the House was resumed.
Bill for a Subscription, to reduce the Irish Rebels.
The Earl of Portland reported the Bill for the speedy Payment of Monies for Ireland, with some Amendments and Alterations:
These Alterations and Amendments were read Twice singly, and Once as they shall Pass in the Bill; which this House approved of.
Ditto.
Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for the speedy Payment of Monies subscribed towards the Reducing of the Rebels in Ireland, which yet remains unpaid.
And being put to the Question;
It was Resolved, To pass as a Law, nemine contradicente.
Lady Delevall, a Pass.
Ordered, That the Lady D'Levall shall have a Pass, to go to Oxford, and return again to London.
Dr. Fuller, a Pass.
Ordered, That Mr. Doctor Fuller shall have a Pass, to carry his Wife to Salishbury, and return back again.
Message to the H. C. with the Bill for the Irish Subscription, and to expedite the Answer to the King's Messages.
A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Doctor Bennett and Doctor Aylett:
To deliver them the Bill for the speedy Payment of Monies for Ireland, with the Amendments; and to deliver to them the Earl of Stamford's Letter; and to desire them to give what convenient Expedition they can to the Answer to His Majesty's Two last Messages sent down to them Yesterday.
Dr. Bennett, a Pass.
Ordered, That Mr. Doctor Bennett shall have a Pass, to go to his House into the Country; and his Attendance in the mean Time to be excused.
Hugh Cox bailed.
Ordered, That Hugh Cox, now a Prisoner in The White Lyon, in Southwarke, shall be bailed by the Two next Justices of the Peace.
