It being moved, "That the House would take into Consideration the Settlement of the Government of England and Ireland, in this present Conjuncture of Things, upon the Death of the King:"
It is Ordered, That these Lords following be appointed to join with a proportionable Number of the House of Commons, for this Purpose:

Five Lords to be of the Quorum of Lords.
Message to the H. C. to appoint one to meet with them.
A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Doctor Aylert and Mr. Eltonhead:
To let the House of Commons know, that the Lords have thought fit to appoint, in this Conjuncture of Affairs, a Committee of Nine Lords, whereof Five Lords to be of the Quorum, to join with a proportionable (fn. 2) Number of the House of Commons, to meet To-morrow Morning, at Nine of the Clock, in the Lord Keeper's Lodgings, if it may stand with their Conveniency; and so, for Time and Place, to adjourn as they shall think fit; to consider of the Settlement of the Government of England and Ireland: And to desire the Concurrence of the House of Commons herein; and that they would give the like Power to their Committee; and afterwards to report their Results to the respective Houses.

The Speaker acquainted the House, "That he hath this Morning received a Letter from the Earl of Northumb. with a Paper inclosed of very great Concernment."
And for the present, the House Ordered, That it should be sealed up with the Speaker's Seal.
Preachers thanked.
Ordered, That Mr. Marshall and Mr. Lee have Thanks returned them, for their Sermons preached Yesterday; and are desired to print their said Sermons, and publish them.
Judges to attend.
Ordered, by the Lords in Parliament assembled, That the Judges shall from Time to Time come and attend this House, as formerly.
Adjourn.
