Cawdrey to be deprived only of his Proctorship at Cambridge.
Upon reading the Petition of Zachery Cawdrey, Fellow of St. John's Colledge in Cambridge; shewing, "That, by Sentence of this House, in December, 1647, he was put out of the Proctorship of the University of Cambridge; but the said Sentence hath, by the Petitioner's Adversaries, been enlarged, not only to the taking away the Proctorship, but likewise to the depriving him of his Seniority in the College, and much of his due Emolument, and all College Preferments:"
Hereupon the Lords in Parliament assembled do declare, That their Intentions were, by the said Order, only to extend to the Proctorship; and not to put any other Incapacity upon him the said Zachery Cawdrey for any other Preferment in the University.
Judges summoned;
Ordered, That all the Judges shall be summoned, by the Gentleman Usher, to attend this House on Thursday Morning next.
and the Lords.
Ordered, That the Gentleman Usher shall give Notice to all the Lords in Town, to attend this House on Thursday Morning next.
Withers to be instituted to Willingore.
Ordered, That Dr. Heath give Institution and Induction to Edward Withers Clerk, to the Vicarage of Willingore, in Com. Lyncolne, void by the Death of the last Incumbent; presented thereunto by the Commissioners of the Great Seal: This with a Salvo Jure cujuscunque.
